Of course not, we always build in stages expecting these types of failures. It's the only way to learn how to build around and solve them!

I basically took only a few warm up laps at Road Atlanta to heat the tires and as soon as I turned it up it didn't make it a full lap. It was the same for our STi once we pushed pasted a certain g load andwent dry sump to solve it and make it reliable for extended high g tracks. We'll get the engine together again quickly and on the dyno for more controlled testing. If rpm oil pressure to 9k rpm is good I'll be very happy. Then I'll just make a 2 stage scavenge dry sump. Thanks, Phil Grabow |

Super high oil temps will effect the oil pressure with 0w20 from what others have recorded but pressure demands are a lot lower for 180 whp than what turbo guys will see. Last season 10w40 worked well for me up to 350 whp and 7500 rpm. |

I can't believe I am seeing this, but is that a functional Rocket Bunny kit? I think I am in love.

It was a hot mess!
This is what was in the pan of the stock engine. Serious carnage when I blows at 120 mph! |

Glad to see you back Phil!
I'll be getting a Hydra from you as soon as I sell my WRX one. If you need a new engine, I have a factory fresh complete engine. |

@D K I might be interested in a spare motor.
@Grip Ronin if you water temp is stable those water coolers can work decently well. That's may plan also as I run a massive radiator. Also typically with a dry sump tank you have a ton more oil to help with heat. 230f is totally good for oil temp! |

My rod bearings coming from Japan due to a national backorder? Must be a lot more busted bottom ends than we know about.

I want to do the dry sump with a CNC pan so it's going to take little time to get that all sorted. |
