Alright guys, here's the V8 Swap DIY tutorial. I think I'm going to post this under the DIY section aswell, we don't want any fellow FR-S owners missing out on the extra HP,TQ, and Racecar.
The hood obviously doesn't close but everyone knows you don't need a hood to drift amiright?

I was kinda hoping that you'd just open the hood, pan away for a few seconds, and then BAM! V8! I didn't know this DIY included actual work like bending down, picking things up, and placing things in position. That's some expensive labor you're looking at there.

I don't know if I have the time... I may have to drink 5 Hour Energy for a few days instead of drinking coffee.

OK, OP, I subs to this as i am very keen to do this as my next mood. Just wondering if this will be ok since I want to install a Vtec so it can kick in Yo. Go all the way, or GTFO right?

Anyway, I have few questions as I am newbie:
1. If you paint the V8 cylinders in heat resistant red paint, would I get like 10-15 hp? If not, at least 2-3hp?
2. Also, I want to add one of those turbonators in the intake - +10hp easy I reckon.
3. Did you need a tune for this modification or the stock ECU will do the job just fine. I mean it can learn the settings on the way, right?
4. And the cherry on top: VTEC. I used to have a Honda and thought that I could just install this to my new 86. F... me right? 20hp here I come.

Anyway, given the speed of this installation, I reckon all these mods should take me only 5 minutes. What do you think?

I reckon US should give up on the minutes/hours time measurement and use this as a reference, therefore 5 -10 minutes will become "one V8 swap".

Your advice would be greatly appreciated as us, Australians have few cars with v8 in 'em and we would love to start taking the car scene to the next level.

Moderators, I think he's faking. Ban him.

Dude, you maybe lacked the following:
1. engine crane
2. red paint and s#it
3. Skills and speed
4. Beer drinking stopper.

The v8 install shouldn't take more than 10 minutes. Never!
