I do seem to remember a member on this forum or over on the other forum (gt86) who has ordered from that same dealer ... I wonder how he got on ... and if he is in the same boat as the rest of us, if he finds out he's gonna be real p**ed!!!

The dealers are not allowed to do this. Report them to TMCA to have their arse dragged over the coals!

EDIT: I am getting my GTS manual from Prosser and have received pretty good service thus far. This behaviour is poor, but as Captain Snooze says, it is only a rip off if someone buys it

What a joke, you kids need to grow up. Calling and having a sook? What are you, 13?

Jesus christ, I'm embarrassed for you.

I'd say the strong reaction is from people who are waiting for their own cars and have seen the delivery due date get pushed back later and later.

I'd understand if it was a private seller, fair game but its a bit rough for a dealership to do it when they undoubtably have people in line waiting for the same car.

Then advertising the 5 year wait is just rubbing it in to people that have orders with them.

I have a manual GTS on order from Prosser but at this stage if they offered me an auto I would seriously consider it, as I'm sure others would.

Only called to find out which dealership it was. Didn't even ask to speak to anyone, so no "sooking" at all :-)

All I'm saying is that dealers should be trying to clear the backlog of orders first (and alot of dealers are doing this). WA is only getting 4 GTS's a month at present, so we are all looking at long waits and the more GTS orders that get filled the quicker we all move up the queue.

Yes, what you say is valid, however what we're saying is that it's a rip-off price to begin with. Its "new" RRP is more like $45K which means this particular example is overpriced by a mere $15K. Furthermore, which insurance company is going to insure it for $15K over market value anyhow? It may not even qualify for an agreed value policy !

OK good luck to them if they sell it, although I doubt anyone in their right mind would buy it @ that price, unless of course they are loaded & desperate for it !

Looks like that listing has been pulled but another one has come up at a much more reasonable price: $45k for GTS like Bounce says:

http://www.drive.com.au/used-cars/to...3#tab-features

and it's only done 32kms! (basically as new stock)

Havin' a whinge, are ya? Harden the fuck up!

Sorry, just watched "Chopper" recently

Are they that rare in Aus that they hafta charge $15k over sticker? I thought the $5k FR-S markups were bad here!

We get 1500 a year here. Only 300 Brz's a year

Gt - 6 month wait
Gts - 2 + year wait
Brz - 18 month wait

Not exact but you get the point.

That one there is at my dealer. Its not for sale and its the right price for kit and Auto + plates. They are just trying to make people see it then phone about it and sign them up on the waiting list. Ready some one on this forum from that dealer has that spec on order so I would say he would be 1st in line when they want to sell it in 6mths+ time. Also alot of other ones that dealers are putting online for the normal price arn't for sale its just to drum up biz.
