Thought so.
His reaction to the BRZ may have been more subdued because he'd already driven the FRS (that video came out earlier). Regardless, these casual lap times are so close I call it a wash. It will be interesting to personally drive and compare the cars' differing spring & damper rates, but I think those comparisons will be much more subjective and focused on standard road use rather than tenth-of-a-second lap times. |

Good review, BRZ is starting to look better and better every time.
FR-S is more tail happy, so it should be more lively.

I do not see myself tracking my BRZ, but then again, nothing is certain. Given what we have seen in video reviews and articles I am beginning to think that the BRZ's suspension configuration would be the choice for track days on America's larger style circuits. Again, as on the street, it may come down to how one person prefers his or her car set up as lap-times will probably be a wash. It is worth noting that from what I have seen, it seems you will go through less rear tires with the BRZ

This review really solidified my decision to buy the BRZ. I was getting nervous with my pre order expected to be here at the end of the month. There are so many good high hp choices like the mustang and 135i. Better interiors too, quality wise. That mustang looked pretty sexy, especially with the unique green color.
But overall the BRZ is the better drivers car and I'm not too concerned about the slowness because coming from a dodge neon I know all about conservation of momentum. |

Great comparison. A sports car versus a muscle car, both at the top of their game for their price point.

I would also like to say that if Subaru offered the BRZ in any color even remotely close to, "Gotta-Have-It Green;" I would need to engage in some sort of ritualistic blood-letting in order to combat what would most certainly be a persistent hard-on.
Subaru BRZ Limited + Gotta-Have-It Green + flat black racing stripe down the driver's side = Who do I have to kneecap in order make that happen?

Great video, definitely put me at ease for not getting the V6 Mustang. At the same time it was kind of a kick in the stomach because I didn't know you could get Mustangs in that color and if I did I might have wound up posting on some different forums

I really appreciated this review since I was considering a Mustang GT instead of the BRZ. This video really reassured me that I made the right choice with the BRZ. I drove 2 different 2008 model Mustang GTs (One Bullitt and a standard GT), and thought they were good, but they felt really huge and too comfortable for a small guy like me (5'8", 130 lbs). I was curious about whether the newer Mustangs were any different, sounds like they aren't. I want the BRZ to feel similar to a Mini Cooper S or Lotus Elise, light, nimble and snug. Based on this review and others, sounds like the BRZ is what I was hoping it to was.

Driving a 2008 and thinking its an accurate representation of a 2011+ model surely is way off base.
