I believe Subaru on this one. Toyota is better at sports car styling than Subaru so it makes sense that Toyota did the styling and Subaru had to do everything else.

I love how they say it feels like a joint venture between Subaru and Lotus.

Yeah i call BS on this article too.
They have stated '210 bhp' in the stats table like its been confirmed or something and earlier in the article he says "The FB20 flat four is said to make "200-plus" horsepower, so figure about 210-220" Also 2800lbs!? 1270kgs!? No way..... the heaviest MX5 weights 1170kgs with the folding metal roof option... so a car of equal size without the weight of all that roof mechanics wont weight 100kgs more even if it does have two more seats! |

$28,000? That cup holder better warm my coffee or chill my water. It should also be leather from only special cows, or some alligator skin that adapts to my back and massages me while I change the radio by blinking.

I've been lurking since the FR-S was revealed, finally decided to register after reading this article. I've got to say that them saying it's a trunk is a huge disappointment for me. I was really hoping for a liftback style for convenience purposes.
A few things I did like though: no sunroof, handling sounds great, body designed around the chassis. Here's to hoping that it's a bit lighter than 2800lbs. Even 2700 would be good enough I think, though 2600 would be right on the money. The price is not an issue for me, as long as the interior does not reflect a cheap car. To be honest, I'd prefer it being a bit more expensive than most are hoping for. It's attainable, but it will ward away some of the less desirable crowd from buying. Maybe I'm a selfish douche though. |

I would really like to call BS on this. The thing that troubles me is the article has pictures of the BRZ that I haven't seen anywhere else on the internet, and believe me, I've been looking. My guess is this is a real article, but they don't have any of the details and made them up on their own. So, what we can take away from this is their driving impression "a collaboration between Subaru and Lotus", and that's music to my ears!

Hellllllllll no if its gonna be $28k! Also seems like Subaru is just pissed off or the person who wrote that article is pissed off. One or the other.

Not a chance that I would buy a vehicle with those "estimated" stats from C&D. Also that article seemed out of characteristic for C&D. Since when do they say that a car already has more than enough horsepower? How can you say that for a car they think can't hit 60 in less than 6 seconds?
Very disappointing mpg estimates as well. (for reference the S2000's EPA rating was 20/25) Every time a car magazines says anything about this car it makes me lose interest. Hopefully Subaru/Toyota is trying to pull a fast one, and just doing this to really wow us come Toyota. While it seems like a long shot, fingers crossed!
