I'm currently running the stock struts with RCE yellows, and adjusting camber up front with the OEM crash bolts. I'm running 18x8.5 +44's, and the clearance is real tight. On one side the crash bolt is maxed out, but on the other side, if the bolt slips, I could have a real problem. I'm thinking maybe I should put the fixed bolts back in (to gain a bit more clearance and stability) and adjust camber with a top plate. Are there any good camber plates that will work with the stock struts? Thanks for the help.

Don't quote me on this, but I believe Vorshlags can be used on OE struts. You'll just have to get a different strut top than the ones used for KWs. Give Vorshlag a call - they're very helpful! One of the guys that works there (Matt?) has a BRZ as his personal car.

According to their website, they currently do not work with OEM struts, only aftermarket coilovers. They are working on the OEM spring perches.

How about some with camber and caster adjustment? They're made by KMac.

I am realizing now that some of these plates will increase ride height in front if used with the stock struts. Are there any out there that won't?

The Ground Control camber/caster plates do not take away suspension travel.

By mounting above the sheetmetal, we are able to let the strut shaft come up through the inner fender, instead of stopping short.

In fact, in this picture we had to use a spacer to move the GC camber/caster plate upward, simulating the extra suspension travel, to illustrate the relationship.

(note: you may see one or two pics here, as we tweak our FT86 photo file sharing and hotlinking)

So do these plates actually lower ride height? If so, by how much? Link to more pics/info/price please.

I can't really tell from the pic, but how can these work with the stock struts...where's the top spring perch?

I am running coil-over setup with adjustable camber plates. I know the Vorshlag added a degree of caster which you cannot adjust, how's the car feel ? Did it improve reducing understeer ? How's the tire wear at the fronts ?

Thanks in advance !

Tire wear is great, im gonna end up running -2.5 in the front though since the wear is getting close to the sidewall. Overall the car feels great with the addition of the camber plates. Vorshlag makes a sweet product.

I don't know the exact amount, but you can see the difference between the ride height at where the upper spring seats are located in comparison to the green line which is representing the body.

Our plates will work with OE struts, but not OE springs. However we are exploring oe spring mounting options.
