Talk to them but most likely you would already have the later springs. All depends on when the short block was made though.

That's what I'm hoping. I know it's time to change the plugs and I'm hoping they only charge for parts and a minimal labor charge rather than the regular $300.

A half hour of work while they're doing the recall? They take the plugs out anyway, there's no way there should be any more labor to put in different plugs than what they took out
