Are there going to be any legality issues with the rival S for April events given their limited availability? My 225s will be here Tuesday and first event of the season up here is on the 12th.

As long as you ordered them through regular channels, ie tire rack or local store, you'll be fine. The availability rule is mainly for guys with hookups that may get a tire months before it's available to the general public.

Well, I sincerely hope the FRS folks find a good setup with the TRD parts and make a good showing at the big events this year - it will be interesting to see if a 'name' driver thinks the parts will make a big enough difference and jump into the class (or switch from another CS car).
I've decided to try something a little different this year: ![]() I do still have the BRZ. As I mentioned it is a great DD for me and you never know - it may end up in ES as well (without the TRD/RS FRS's?) in another couple years

Another year like last year and the Mazda guys might get the Spyder booted back up to CS.

I actually don't make it to many DMVR events. Mostly Iowa region. Have we met?

It's going to be an interesting year in ES for sure. Last year there were a ton of holdouts in ESR, assuming they move to street tires I think a lot of them (especially Bartek) will give the Spyder a run for its money. For reference he beat the CS winner by nearly four seconds.
