they did, and it's a really nice looking plate if you're looking to dress up the engine some. But I had mine fixed under warranty (they simply replace it with a new plate and seal it real good), and no seeping oil since.

I'm thinking of going a different route now that I've blacked-out my headlights. I've always liked the yellow highbeam look on Euros, the older BMW's and some Integras had inner lights (like our DRL's) that could easily be tinted with yellow film. It'd look real nice with the lights off and on. What do you guys and gals think if I were to paint the headlight trim black, then tint the highbeam reflector with yellow film? The reason why I thought of this is because I'm going to cover up my fog lights with yellow film from BlueBatMobile, figured I'd match up the lights.

Here's an example of what I mean:

In order to do this, I'll need to trade my headlights with someone around the Bay Area, at NO CHARGE. All I ask is for very clean, scratch free headlights, maybe a few hours of your time so we can swap headlights at my place. Honest opinions, yay or nay?

I like the look personally (I have a thing for older BMWs considering my first car was an 88 325). Even the all yellow like RallySportDirect's BRZ look pretty nice in my opinion.

If you do go through with it PM me and I'll be glad to swap. I will give my lights a once over just to make sure but I believe they are still perfect (I'll even bring beer)

I might also be interested in swapping lights. Where in the bay to you live?

Thought Chevron gas was suppose to be best? Just except that crickets are a signature noise for the 86...BUT I have a new noise ever since the drive on Saturday...a little chatter happens in neutral when im decelerating around 25-15mph sometimes. Anyone else????

What kind of chatter? Are you in gear? Or when your applying the brakes?

Gas is all a matter of opinion. Non of us actually open up our engine to see if that techron stuff works or no. Maybe 76 and she'll do the same thing but don't advertise it. The gas all comes from the refinery just the additives are different and I'm sure there is some kind of regulation for all gas stations. Maybe the chevron gas additives help add the crickets?

Every high-end fuel has a "name" shell is "v-power"

Every fuel has additives, it's just they actaully put a name on them.

Yes, what kind of chatter? Sounds repeatable so troubleshooting it wouldn't be difficult for the dealer to look at or someone experienced.

Chevron...it's a matter of opinion and advertisements. From my experience on my 86, every fuel but Shell and Sunol's 94+ fuels activates the crickets loudly. It takes a day with Shell again to quiet the creatures. I've also come to realized on these 2 occasions, crickets are apparent: 1) running the AC continuously for long periods of time or 2) hard spirited drives. After a day, it quiets down again. The crickets are there, I just try to quiet it down and Shell works for mine. Dealer inquisitions are acceptable, but a waste of my time. My dealership is aware of it and also knows there is no fix.

My pump was replaced and they didn't come back until I used Chevron gas again. Before that with Shell and 76 it was gone.
@ck-GT86 - before you go in check (if you have a MT) to see if the triangular plate is leaking oil above the overpipe. On pass side in front of the battery.
I only buy Chevron gas if I can (sometimes shell), no crickets after whatever number of miles they went away at.

His MR2 doesn't have a 4AG. Just hit up folks on NorCal AE86 group. You'll get some help there if you need it. Did you pick one up?
