Finally got home, relaxing with a cold homebrew and some Robert Plant on iTunes Festival.
Still a great performer.

Anyone know a good place to get tint? Also, have any of you used any local "mobile" tint companies?

I was tempted to do that but the dealer wanted $400 for the tint job. That's too much IMO.

I got mine tinted by a guy named Mike @ Custom Car Shades who was refered to me by Sohail (One of our wednesday meet-up crew not on forums) I paid $100 and I LOVE the quality. It's 12% all the way around.

Heuberger in Colorado. It's why I've waited until now to get it done. The deal on the car was great but the tint job was a flat fee for all of their vehicles and it was just robbery.

Has anyone else checked out http://84mpg.eliomotors.com/

There is a whole mess of buzz going on in the business world about this "up-&-coming" vehicle. I am truthfully interested in it but am also really curious about the market acceptance and how it will pan out.

Tint costs more in other states. I got my car tinted for $300 from Cactus Tint with SunTek film and a windshield strip. For that quality of work, with that quality film, I'd have paid $400++ in Connecticut.

Try slangin sound & tint in Mesa. They got good deals on sound components as well & if you walk in & flash cash at them they will negotiate prices with you. Lol I did that.

See, That looks sick! But, it's 3x the cost and is classified as a M-class and not an standard class auto. I think If I was going to spend that price tag, I'd go Ariel Atom. I was more thinking about practicality of a "Brand new car" for under $7500 -- like when the Kia Rio and Toyota Echo first came out, they were base lined at $8000.00
