I got opticoat pro applied to my car today by Gaary Dean of Premium Custom Detailing in Tampa Fl. He comes to Viginia Beach 3 times a year and did a great job! Look him up online and contact him if interested.

I seem to have the strangest run ins with randos. Got my car last September, and within the first week I had multiple people pull up and talk to me while driving (one on 95 as we were cruising at 45 down to a traffic jam, another on Key Highway), asking about it. Recently, I've had an older gent at a gas station around Laurel walk up as I gassed up, asking me what my car cost (nice opener eh?), and how fast it was ... Yesterday on my normal commute home, I had someone in a minivan next to me at a light on Pratt/Presidents St. just yell "hey is that thing fast?". What do you say to that? I'm more critical/honest than most, and said "not really in a straight line, but fun as hell when you get out to those curves", just to see a blank stare as a response.

In other news: who's got the mad soldering skills? I need some soldering done on the new wiring, and either need some hardcore instruction, or some work-for-food soldering.

Wet course needed to break traction in an LS3 powered car? I didn't know LS3s made the same amount of horsepower as my Miata. Good to know.

Lol. As last Sunday proved, track days happen whether it's perfect track conditions or absolute crap damn rain. Also- rain for a new drifter: a looooot easier.

So for work now I have to drive to arlington everyday for the next few months. I am pretty blown but oh well looks like I have to suck it up. Now my FRS/Daily will get a lot of miles on it. I think Ill drive my FRS on a daily basis up until October/November.

just soldering wires together? It's dead simple (although a little more difficult if the wires are still in the harness/car.) I've done it for all of my head unit harnesses and various other DIY projects.

Basically, strip the ends of the wires, toss a heat shrink wrap down one side, twist the wires together, apply solder, slide heat shrink over your newly soldered connection, shrink with heat gun/lighter/hair dryer.

If you want to get fancy, here's how NASA does it:

Full NASA Soldering technical documentaiton: http://nepp.nasa.gov/docuploads/06AA...STD-8739.3.pdf

there are also a ton of decent youtube videos out there.

My car unceremoniously hit 10,000 miles this weekend. It'll be time soon to start looking for another car.
