But for now we will be sticking with EcuTek for the basemaps. It is still currently the most robust offering for tuning the BRZ/FR-S to work with FI, with many custom features that we feel are quite necessary for long term safety and performance.

For the most part I haven't been keeping up with the AVO threads as I'm not interested in the turbo kit. (Please don't take offense, it's just not quite what I'm looking for) But, it's very encouraging to see you guys keeping up with the platform as it evolves, staying a part of the community, and continuing to innovate new products. My hat's off to you AVO, you're doing a hell of a job.

Thanks!

Despite the name of the company, we are not all about turbochargers. That's just probably the hottest topic at the moment. I'm busy putting up all the other parts we are making that are far less headline grabbing, but still important. Bushings, suspension, exhaust, etc., are products we are working on concurrently.

We will be installing the AVO clutch, over pipe, front lca bushings and motor mount shortly. Photos and opinions to come. So far we have had great success with our turbo kit and look forward to the new product.

Wow, didn't realize you guys are based right out of Seattle. Makes it even easier for me to choose who to go to for boost later on down the line.

(Unless you wanna sponsor me a turbo kit. )

I'm about to purchase an avo stage 1 for my frs. I don't know if you answered this question already but is the oem bov included with the kit? also is the vacuum line for the bov neccessary to be connected or utilized or can it be just not connected at all? I appreciate your answer.

The vacuum line to the BOV is necessary for it to work properly. Boost pressure on the other side of it's valve is what keeps it shut. And no, the OEM BOV isn't included with the kit.

There are some choises for the BOV that can help with the cost of the kit. We are finishing a 10 series today which took 6 hour to install and the owner I can't wait to take her out for a drive.

What are the recommended / go to parts for oil cooler, upgraded radiator, and catch can. Not sure what is the deal with robispec unit fitting properly so what are the other options that will fit with this kit installed?

We'll have an oil cooler available shortly, they are just finishing up the testing on it in Japan. I naturally recommend our oil/air separator, as it comes with an adapter for the turbo's oil reservoir tank plus a turbo-specific pcv valve.

I'm not one to toss a manufacturer-provided warranty out the window, but I've been seriously considering the Avo Stage 1 kit when the next tax season arrives. I live in Phoenix, AZ, and it hangs above 100 degrees for about half the year, and I'm wondering how the kit out-of-the-box will perform in extreme heat, as well as what detriments it would have to engine life. Since I plan on driving this car for the next thousand years, I need it to last me quite some time.

Also, are you aware of any Avo / ECUtek=approved installers in the Phoenix area? I believe Goodspeed performance (out of Scottsdale) might be one

Hi Paul,

Any further details about the oil cooler? I am just about to fit a setrab one to my car using the mocal take off. If AVO are bringing one out, should I wait? A reply by PM is fine if you would prefer.
