Anybody going to the track even this weekend in CA? We have a ton of stuff to do with work but Richard from UMS is going to take our FRS and give it a beating. Wrapping up the rest of the prototype exhaust components so he can have them for the event

Ok, We can fab up the extended pipes, but it has to have that perforated heat guard covering all of it like a 1970's motorcycle!

How do those wheel lights get power?? This sparked a long tangential discussion between Matt and I in the office this morning about what we could do to make it generate power by itself through wheel rotation.

we were thinking something to do with Honeywell's wind turbine technology, but with the wheel as the "turbine" AND the coil, and a fixed magnet or something. Then we laughed...

It's done 2 ways one way is actually glow in the dark paint the other is a light hooked to the brake caliper and some get power from a gear that fits in the slots of the rotor and have a battery for when parked others are wired from the car's battery

Haha yeah it is much simpler like the old school bike lights that hooked to the wheel

Peoples, the next Open House and AutoX is on December 8th! We are going to be giving out little award badges for this one, tell your friends etc. etc. and all. We are designing them now to cut them out on the waterjet, but we are still building the list. Do you guys have any nominations for categories??? We love "Cone Slayer", another suggestion was that we take a note from Halo and have titles like "CONE-POCALYPSE", and yes we will be getting a PA system out to the track this time so we can use the the deep video-game deathmatch voice while you guys are driving...

OH! Another idea we were talking about: We went to the Neon Dash across the street at firebird one time. It is a 5K run that happens at night, and as you run the course you get hit with neon paint. Obviously the course is lit with blacklights, you get the idea.

Now I'm not suggesting that we have to spray your car with neon stuff, washable or otherwise, but we were thinking blacklights, neon cones fluorescent painted apex cues, music, and driving of course.

I don't know, just throwing it out there in the spirit of "just because you can ... doesn't mean you should ... but doesn't mean you pay attention".

Ideas?

Needs more Super Eurobeat. I think that could produce hilarious results.
