Jesus dude, you got some bad luck homie. I thougt i had bad luck with rock chip dent on my drivers door and car wash scratching the car all around it..... But i think you have me beat. To bad your alarm wasnt in, it woulda went off when it was hit.looks like the dent can be massaged out, paint fixed but i bet the light will need to be replaced. Good excuse to get the 86 clear ones......

Bummer about the car. But don't go back to a Tacoma, you''ll miss the handling.

man you have had some of the worst luck. Here's to hoping it turns around soon.
Looks like just a new fender, then paint for the bumper and fender.

Guess it will be homeowners insurance since I was in my driveway. I should just sell this thing and get Tacoma again.

Not one insurance claim in over 5 + years and since June my car has been hit three times resulting in two claims. Not once being my fault. Fffffffuuuuu.

Wow. Sorry to hear. Unless you have a really strange insurance company they won't cover this under homeowners. Your homeowners policy probably has an exclusion for owned automobiles. Let us know how it goes.

Generally, people on my forum think it is a bad idea for a lot of different reasons, and nobody thought it was good idea. Since most of them are engineers who autox, I will go along with them.

I just read the thread. Seems the consensus, as with most of the AutoX world, is go with the widest possible tire with the stiffest possible sidewall.

More and more it occurs to me why I've avoided SCCA competition up to this point. "Accessibility" is a joke and god forbid you disrupt the status quo.

I'm a little late on posting this. Yesterday Jeff and I went over to Local Motors for some projects we have.

Yesterday Alex and I created something that can only be described as "WOW! we got that right on the first cut!" lol

Alex and I were mocking up the position of where I'll be putting my Borla muffler using the factor exhaust. We couldn't find a 2 1/2" to 3" adapter for the exhaust in time yesterday so he and I quickly built a dump pipe. This way I could drive back home as I scrapped my heat shield. This is what we created...

The final product turned out AWESOME! Alex mentioned painting it black but after taking my wire wheel to it I decided to just clear coat it. It looked good after polishing it.

The flange was custom made using Solid Edge which is an awesome program. Can't wait to spend my weekends at LM for more projects.

Here is what is looks like bolted up.
Alex and I will make a jig so that if anybody would like this dump pipe it can be fabbed up with ease. I'm going to touch base with Alex so that we can work out a price. And if your curious we used 2 1/2" piping. The BRZ sounds so much more refined with the dump pipe, it actually got rid of the drone I had at city speeds. Can't wait to hear what my Borla will sound like. feel free to ask any questions.

I don't follow. That is, by accessibility, are referring to the class system? Or to the consensus rejection of 16 inch wheels and tires? What status quo?

Not being feisty, just confused.
