tbh i judge how awesome a car is by the speed it can hold around an on ramp… so far the record goes to an audi R8 V10 that some journalists brought to a subaru meet (oh they also brought a pre release wrx sti but who cares) when i was shotgun in the R8 the journalist took an onramp at about 125 with no drama, then when we followed it in my friends stage 2 wrx with 120 tread wear tires we could barely do 115 without the car starting to understeer… i wish i took a picture of @iLaw 's face when he got out

Yup. That R8 was damn impressive. Epic.

One thing I always tell new drivers

Driving safe does not mean driving slow

That's about the only fun you can find in Toronto if you like driving fast on turns

Markham/Toronto performance during snowstorm tonight.

Hello all,

First time driving a rear wheel in the winter, I have winter tires on. I was fishtailing all over the place tonight.

I sensed I started to fishtail every time I gave it a "blip" of gas. I was sliding and slipping more than I expected.

I am using a set of michelin Xi3s.

Was the weather particularly bad tonight? Will my stability improve once the roads up here get some more salt? Thoughts?

Would turning sport mode on help with traction?

Learn to be easier on your driving inputs ie. don't blip so heavily

Took me almost 3 hours to get home tonight but man was it fun. The car didn't slip out once. Days like these I'm happy I didn't go for a performance winter tire.

Saw a red twin hooked up to a tow truck (this in the residential area near Major Mac and Woodbine). Looks like the left rear corner met up with something immovable. :-(
