I've never had a curved monitor so I'm kind of iffy about it too. There are few other diferences too. The LG monitor does not have HDR, just SDR. LG only comes with a 1 year warranty, whereas the GIGABYTE one comes with 3 years, and HDR. Both of them are at a great price.

Spec wise, sounds like the Gigabyte is the better monitor even with the curve. Might be enough to convince me to change to that one.

I pulled the trigger on the curved one. 3 years warranty, HDR, 165hz, the actual measure from side to side is 27.9. I guess the 32'' is from corner to corner, but it is still pretty good. I also found out that the LG one has a max refresh rate at 144Hz, and a notorious panel defect.

Nice! I have a 27" 1440p MSI 165hz monitor and love it. It's curved but I don't mind that.

Monitors are measured diagonally like TVs, so yes. The LG you were looking at was 28.1" wide, which you would expect since it isn't curved. Both have the same screen real estate but take up a different amount of horizontal space.

Good choice I think. Now you go me looking at them.

I didn't think I'd notice anything, but it really is amazing. Especially since I had some crummy Asus 60hz 1080p monitor for years

I was using the same one haha. Then I re-purposed a 4K 42" tv from the guest room to my computer. But the 60Hz did not make up for the great image. I'm absolutely pumped about this monitor.

Finished Days Gone and started Horizon ZD for the first time.

Days Gone was a nice game, played in on survival mode and had a good time with it. Surely better than critics said. Also had no performance issues, but that may be because i rsn it post patched on the Pro.

Horizon had a rough start for me. Almost gave up, but now i'm past the beginning and ventured into the open world. It's quite fun. And pretty.
Usually I play Shadowlands and get some extra items for the game but decided to play Horizon for a change. Now can return to WoW

I hope the game is as good as the trailer (@10.06) looks.
I wonder if I should go through the trouble of trying to find a new card?
