We do. We haven't talked about it much but we do have a tune to go with our catted header.

Really? I'd already pretty much decided to go with your header as it stands, but I've never read anything about a tune. Have you got a dyno of that? Will it run in California without blowing up?

The Untuned vs stock dyno is in our header thread. The Tune Dyno I am not sure if we ever scanned it. I need to dig around for that.

We only have 91 here in Iowa so that's what we tuned it on which is also the same tunes we use when we come out to cali and run track days. No issues so I would say goo do to go. Plus we can look at logs and make adjustments as well.

Why do you think running a catted header will make it legal to use in California? There are no CARB legal headers produced that I know of, so you might as well pick the header that fits your needs as opposed to sticking with a catted one.

Talked to Cosworth, parts en route to the US in 2-3 weeks but they are taking pre-orders right now.

Here's MSRP --

Stage 1.1 -- $2,799.00
Stage 1.2 -- $3,699.00
Stage 1.3 -- $5,249.00

All parts will be reused for the Stage 2 and 3 (and 3+ if they determine the engine can handle more, which we know it can so finger crossed for a good 3+ version)

Does this mean if I buy stage 1.1 and I want to upgrade to stage 1.2, it'll only cost somewhere around $900?

No, that's the price for each incremental upgrade. By the time you get to Stage 3, total cost should be somewhere around $1.5 trillion.

Somehow I really, really doubt that.

At the end of the day, if it's $5k for a solid supercharged system by Cosworth good for 350+whp is a pretty damn good price, IMO.

But who knows, maybe that WILL actually cost $11,747 for the full stage 1.3 kit. I've seen people pay more for less.

You are a bit confused.

1.3 is not a supercharged system.

Its a header-back exhaust and tune. :P

Yes exactly, something around that. Each stage is not + that amount, you just keep adding on.

Probably, the stage 1.x threw me off. Thought the stage 1.3 was the stage 3 supercharged one. But either way, we'll really have to just wait until this is in our hands before making and real judgements. I've still seen people pay more for less on this and other platforms :P

I don't. But as a mechanic I can't in good conscience eliminate emissions devices. That last few horsepower isn't too precious to me, but the smooth torque curve is essential, as is the quiet exhaust volume. Also, save the polar bears?
