I've had a few guys give me thumbs up. Mainly from EVOs or STIs. Guy in a 4Runner basically slammed on his breaks to wave at me lol

Some pretty funny reactions so far...

Stopped at a 7-11 in town to get a few things. Looked out the window and a pack of teenagers had their phones out taking pictures. One of the girls was going around looking inside.

I parked at a Quizno's for lunch the other day and noticed a GTI lap around the parking lot 3 times looking at it.

I was at the bank around 10ish the other night and an RX-8 flashes me from across the lot. Guy comes flying over and this old asian dude just has the biggest smile on his face.

Last night I was downtown Toronto at an intersection and I heard kind of a faint yelling noise. Looked to my left and there's 3 teenagers chanting "FR-S! FR-S!" When I turned they cheered and went back in side lol.

Friends and family love it. This is my first car though (25 yrs old) so of course you get the comments from people thinking you're nuts or not practical. Sure a car is something to get you from A to B...but why not enjoy it if you can afford it? Live a little

I was just cruising along just now when in the next lane over there was a car that was slowly passing me, and then all of a sudden I hear SUPER loud "hello, you have a nice car!". I looked over and see the passenger was looking at me using a megaphone!

(to be fair, I think they were heckling a bunch of random cars as they drove along)

Walking out of the gym saw a very clean B7 S4, it was clearly modded and very well done, I just started talking to him about his car and his mods, makes 380awhp.

As I was driving off he saw what I was driving, he waved me over and he was super excited about my car, said he took a picture yesterday and posted on his FB was wondering whose it was. He was looking to buy one since he always got in trouble with his car, mpg, and how it wasn't always fun to go in a straight line. Asked me how fun was it to drive, and what plans I have for it. He knew a lot about the car and the whole experience of it.

Soon enough we had a couple of cars pull up and start talking to us about the "sexy red" car, had a lot of explaining to do

Lol my budy Im on this job with currently is a huge Audi fan, currently his S4 is in a million pieces in his garage and he can't wait to install his RS6 Turbos in his since everything is beefed up and ready to be put back together. It's nice having another car guy to talk to. He says he has sunk so much money in his car! (like a lot)

His other Audi is the allroad wagon that has the suspension that goes up and down with button controls. And that one is bone stock lol.

I have had people at red lights motion to me to roll the window down and ask about the car. I saw a UPS driver pull his phone out and take a picture of the car. I pulled into a Starbucks drive thru and when I pulled to the window to pay, two guys that worked there went wild over the car, asked me questions and said it was"sic." FR-S is a Rock star!

My wife finally gets it.

Have had the car for 5 weeks now and have had to add 5 minutes to all of my errands as everywhere I go i get stopped and asked about the car. My wife who doesn't believe my stories every night wanted to go to a drug store to pick up some products. While waiting for her in the car in front of the store a gentlemen and his wife come up and start raving about the car. I let them sit in it just as my wife returned from her shopping. I just looked at her and said see. Another 5 minutes.

Maybe it's a California thing, where BMWs are more common than Hondas, but from reading other people's experiences I was expecting the same level of craziness as when driving the Exige. I really haven't gotten anything in the FR-S.

On my test drive a guy honked and asked how I liked the car. Other than that, not a peep from anyone.

I'm thinking it might be a similar thing here as well. But not quite to the extent of Cali. I live in the upper class suburbs part of Houston and there are quite a few extremely awesome and expensive cars around here and generally all of Houston. When I had my Nismo 370 here I didn't get quite as many looks and freakouts as I imagined. But when I lived in Atlanta everyone was doing all of the above reaction-wise.

One of my neighbours called Public Security today (around 4pm), when I can make as much noise as I want (too a certain point). The Public Security dude was just like someone complained and what not, but I love the car.

Just the other day i got yelled at on the fwy, stuck in traffic, by a guy in a challenger SRT8. He goes, "How much you pay for that?" I tell him the price. He responds, "The f*** i should have gotten one of those! Mine cost double!" lol.

Best reaction was when I went to a Ferrari/Maserati shop in Marina Del Rey to help my friend pick up an Italia she had waiting from being serviced. While I was parked and waiting in my car next to rows and rows of beautiful cars, three of the employees come by and compliment me, ask a few questions, and walk around the car checking it out! I think that's a pretty good response coming from guys seeing expensive cars on a daily basis.
