Nice setup! I have the same Seiko and would recommend a better strap. You'd be surprised at how much more comfortable a new one could be!

So Tissot is trying really hard to take my money. Again.

Anyone have experience with their Powermatic 80 watches/movements? They have a new Powermatic 80 COSC, which is calling my name.

Hope overtime picks up soon...

Picked up this G Shock Aviation at Costco a few weeks ago. Anyone else big into G Shocks? This is my 3rd one.

Alright gents...

I will be getting married soon and I think I want to get my groomsmen watches as their gift. I have 6 groomsmen and I'm thinking a budget of around $30 each. Maybe a bit more depending how great the deal is.

Any great looking (hopefully some sort of quality) watches to look into?

My only requirement is that it has a leather band.

Look on Amazon at Casios. Hard to beat the brand at the price range. If you double your budget maybe a Seiko or Citizen. If you can wait a month for shipping HMT has some nice options with handwound movements.

Folks I need help. Looking to buy the following

http://www.overstock.com/Jewelry-Wat...7Y&searchidx=0

I have 0 Knowledge of rolex's and I am doing the legwork for my FIL who wants to buy it. Buying such an item online seems like a bit of a EHHHH. Does anyone know any contacts in the DC, Maryland, VA area that could help out? Is there a watch forum that would have better input on how to buy such a piece, what to look for if your buying used vs new etc.

Any help would be great, I am not trying to steer him away from his tastes, what he wants is what he wants.

Try the watchuseek forums. I don't know what kind of discount you can get on Rolex's from authorized retailers, but 20% off msrp for brand new Omega's from authorized retailers is not unheard of.

edit: LOLZ...beaten by a few hours.
