Talked to a couple of guys from a few booths today at SEMA, about a 4 1/2 hour install, hardest part is the cooler. No word or price yet but it looks like the best option so far. Thank you guy's at Vortech for your info and patience.

I'd prefer the natural silver finish or a silver thermal coat, if it could be an option. Might as well keep the underhood temps as low as possible.
I LOVE THAT PIC! It is exactly how I feel. LMAO!!

whats uncleen?

the bumper cover is cake to remove

anytime you compress air, it makes that charge warmer than IAT. the idea of the intercooler is to drop the temp of the charge. cooler air=more density=more 02=more power, so intercooler=good

You forgot the bit about hotter air is more likely to cause detonation. IC = safer, especially on such high compression motors. I wouldn't even consider F/I without an intercooler and oil cooler.

At the risk of being accused of being full of hot air....
But yes, indeed, try and get as big a intercooler temp drop as you can!

What exactly is so mysterious about the Vortech Supercharged Scion FR-S? The power output of course.

Unveiled today at the SEMA Show aftermarket parts expo in Las Vegas, NV, the Vortech kit is certain to be a go-to addition for many FR-S drivers once the original thrill of their light weight, rear-drive sports car wears off.

Vortech hasn’t released any estimated numbers for the kit either and a representative we spoke with at the SEMA Show was hesitant to even guess – though something just shy of 300 hp (a 50% increase from the stock output) seems about right.

Other upgrades on the FR-S include a KW suspension, Borla exhaust, 19-inch Rotiform wheels.

STILL holding out on numbers?!?!
