Its not a rumor that a 2.0L turbo is coming. Lexus has first dibs on the turbo 2.0, and its coming first on the small NX crossover SUV being revealed in the next couple days. I would hope the production motor to have around 250hp (its meant to replace the 2.5L V6 they have). It'll trickle down to the IS/RC later and possibly find its way into the Toyota lineup. |

Also, the F1 noise is a matter of opinion. I for one am just as happy with the F1 noise now as I was with the old motor knowing the tech packed under the bonnet.

Thinking about trading in my FRS for new Lexus RC F
I had my FRS almost 2 years. This new Lexus RC F really caught my attention. I owned a 92 SC300 and really never like anything Lexus put out until now. What do you guys think? RC price about 40k and RCF about 100k, probably go with RC. http://www.lexus.com/concept/RCF/

Don't like it. Looks like a refined Genesis Coupe/Nissan Altima/Infinity G37. If I saw that on the road I wouldn't take a second look. Just my opinion.

Street car? sure. But a lexus in essence is luxury, meaning you are going to have added features and weight that decrease performance to increase comfort.
If it is a good compromise for your needs, go for it.

+1 to the front end being hideous. They took a pretty decent idea from their F series and stretched it beyond absurd.
Also, that page links to a concept. When is it coming out? What are the specs on the production model? Cost? |

Do it - you've owned a Lexus before, so you know what you're getting yourself into (plush/refined/luxury). You know yourself best and sometimes change is good.

I was originally going to wait to purchase that car as my next car until I test drove the FR-S. I still have an IS300 so no regrets. I say go for it because right now Lexus quality and service is unmatched.
