I am going to be forking out 9k total. I went through a local store/mom and pop shop. They are getting me a good deal on everything. Thanks for the advice. Congrats to you!

Stock MKIV turbos are on the left that's what they look like.

Maybe I am missing something. Because I know the MKIV Supra quite well (been my dream car for 15 years). I do not see the twin turbos on the passenger side. Help me out here if I have overlooked them.

Gotcha now. I was looking for turbines and now I can where they are with more an aerial view. I am so used to seeing all of them in single turbo conversions. What a timeless and well engineered machine. I want one so bad! Probably going to wait until my mid thirties. Thanks for the help.

You can't know the supra that well if you don't know what the OEM turbos look like :P

Just kidding, most pictures you see have a big fat single snail under the hood

You got me. I should indeed know that stock setup much better. I always read about the 93-98 model differences every once in a while for a refresher. Yet I always have neglected what the twin turbo set up looks like under the hood. Albeit knowing about the beauty, strength, and quality of the 2JZGTE. Man, I wish I had one of those!

totally late to this party, but just wanted to say keep the Supra and sell it to me for peanuts when it hits 25 years old. I mean c'mon, who wants a 25 year old car? amirite?

Seriously though, I was searching for a clean MKIV for a good month before I pulled the trigger on my FRS. The only ones I could find that I'd feel comfortable daily driving were priced quite a bit more than a new FRS. I would definitely not sell your Supra, if you do you will regret it, trust me on that...

I regret selling my previous 2 Miata's, I only take solace in that it helped pay for my schooling. I bought my current Miata about 3 years ago, and I will never part with it...

Now, to the juice. I hate to break your ballz, but this thread reminds me of those Facebook selfies that females like to share. All you see is some pushed up breasts, yet the caption says, "Got a new belt today". C'mon dawg, to summarize your thread, you just really want to show us your Supra and get your cock stroked by the internet. Let's be real, do you REALLY not know what to do and are you REALLY seeking advice from the forum? We don't know you or your life. FWIW, I think that you should grow some ballz and think for yourself. Maybe grow a beard, too.

/thread

ps. contrary to what all these fools are telling you, your Supra will NOT increase in value as you Canadians have the luxury of being able to import JDM cars. Furthermore, NA --> turbo never holds value compare to original 6spd TT.
You do actually know the prices of Supra's has been increasing in Japan every year. For a good Turbo MT you have to pay a minimum of 1.500.000 Yen and at least 2.000.000 to 3.000.000 if its a late 97+ VVTI.

Further more the assumption that price's of the JZA80 will drop when Toyota releases a new Supra are wrong. Because just look at JDM price's of the BNR34 GTR, they just increased since the R35 was released. A good BNR34 cost allot more than a 2 year old R35!

Quote:
But the r33 gtr that are legal are a pretty hot bargain for a mean jdm sports car.
They are allot cheaper than R34 but in no way cheap. I have been shopping for a BCNR33 for a year now and still haven't found what i'm looking for. Its hard to get a good tuned example unless you want to buy crap off USS auctions that can end up costing you thousands when the engine blows after a few miles.

I had an '87 Supra that I purchased with 5 miles on the odo until last year when she blew a head gasket..

It had 129,000 miles on it, and though I loved the car dearly she was getting old and I was too.

The FRS I purchased seemed to have the same spirit she did, though at almost half the weight! ;-)

I sold it to a Father/Son combo looking for a project car to rebuild.

They offered me "visitation rights" when they complete the project. I thought that was a generous offer.
