Choosing wheels is probably the hardest thing.
I am hoping to upgrade to some TSW Nurburgrings this summer. Need to juggle that in with the brake upgrades for the track and a bunch of other non-car stuff. |

Thanks for the link. I have been looking at the various BBK threads to decide whether or not I'll really need it.
Given that I will be a track noob I doubt I'll need much more than a fluid/pad upgrade for this summer for sure. Depending on how it goes, I might need more. I was thinking of 18x8 +35 wheels, which should hopefully have room to upsize if I end up needing it. |

Lachute performance sells 5mil and 10mil spacers as well I might buy some for the crappy 17's that I have for I more year since I did just buy new tires anyways. The 5mil on the back will work well if you are going with the square +35 setup depending on your setup. I think it's about $80 for a pair.

Tires
well, have 2 finished. The Hankook part is a royal pain in the ass. Will clean it up tomorrow. Overall though, pleased.

Sharpie
I used the sharpie oil based paint pens. The raised lettering was easy. the Hankook part (flat and ribbed) required much more attention, an exacto knife was useful in removing overlapped paint. A fine tipped paint brush would have been useful as well for the corners. I used a dabbing motion and let the paint flow to the edges. 3 coats for each. 1 pen did all 4 tires. Got my pens from Denis office supply through work. 4.99 per pen. I only did one of the Hankooks on each tire. Thinking about doing the second one, feel with all 4 sides done it will look like a solid whitewall when driving. Don't know if I want that

@Pbrown - it's all in the details eh?
![]() You'll start a new trend - only with cool tires though - no one wants to see "General Maos Peoples Republic All-season Radial Tires for the Masses" highlighted on old Kias lol |
