Would like a system that isn't super loud but it doesn't have to be as quiet as stock.
Also, it's worth mentioning that my car is RHD.
I have a ceramic coated "Top Speed" EL catless header. HKS dual resonated front pipe, and Invidia Q-300 exhaust. Nice and quietb down the road, no drone at start up, but still a nice sound when you get on it.

Does anybody here use an aftermarket oil cooler on their Edelbrock SC'd car (MY 2017)?

I'm asking cuz I'm interested in getting the Jackson Racing D/R+Oil Cooler, but I read somewhere that fitment is "impossible" on a 2017 utilizing the supercharger unless significant modification is done.

If anything, what would be the recommended alternative brand to go with for oil cooling on a 2017 model?

The DROC fits just fine on a 17, if you have an Edelbrock SC.

The 2017 Subaru BRZ (MT + Performance Package) test car is on the JR Dual Radiator Oil Cooler with Edelbrock SC, stock header, stock overpipe, stock front pipe, and CSG Touring86 Exhaust.

The video of our dyno run is with the DT Flex Fuel Kit running around E70 fuel mixture putting down about 350WHP. 91 Octane (smog legal configuration) put down about 260WHP. Our baseline was 166WHP on this Delicious Tuning dyno in stock 2017 Subaru BRZ configuration.

I know what kit I'm going for if I ever got F/I.

Has this kit + built engine been figured out by now? Would a slight compression ratio drop with some forged pistons + rods would be sufficient for ~300-350whp? Or would one need to look into an entire built block?

With the Edelbrock SC + DeliciousTune with everything else stock on 92 octane it's pushing close to 260whp on a DynoJet. My stock baseline was at 160whp and at 131wtq.

If someone with (nearly) the same specs as me on 91 octane is pushing (nearly) the same HP as me, technically I should be closer to 265whp if anything.

When I get my Ace A350 and Ace FP, I'll work with Delicious on optimizing the tune further to proper spec.

91 octane or e85? The dyno above shows 350whp on E85 already!

A good header and 1 step smaller pulley might clear 300whp on a stock engine and 91 octane.

I really want a reliable 300whp on 91. I'm just not confident in this engine enough to go FI + stock block (unless I'm going centrifugal which isn't really fun IMO).

I'd recommend ethanol, over bumping boost.

Dbox + header + fp + touring86 will get you pretty darn close.

I've been looking into the D-Box Mod. On the Delicious Tuning website, a lot of their Research and Development is done with their Double D-Box setup.

I don't have any e85/e100 stations where I live so running the Double D-Box setup is seemingly pointless. Will I still get the confirmed +10 peak horsepower gain from the D-Box for Edelbrock SC without going Double D?

Thanks for the suggestion. I've heard the trans & engine is a ticking time bomb at 300whp+, though, does e85 really help with the reliability that much?

Has there been any reliability problems with this on the stock engine? I'm really just looking for some more low-mid range torque where I don't have to worry about *any* reliability issues (mostly worried about blown engine/trans). I'm fine with running the ~260 whp even. I'm just not sold this thing will last 100k+ miles - especially since I have a '13 motor, and I've heard lots of nightmares about spun bearings/thrown rods (both N/A and F/I).

The engine is more of the weak link than the supercharger itself. Whether you have boost or not, the engine will let go whenever it wants to let go. As for the transmission, you're limited by torque, not horsepower. At these torque levels and how it rolls on, you'll be fine. Turbo is a different story.

THANK YOU!

This is the exact setup I'm planning on getting to, running on CA 91 Octane. I want to keep it CARB legal so getting that power with the stock header and pipes is great news. (I know the tune isn't CARB legal but that's easier to pass off )

Sounds great, power looks awesome, thank you CSG.

Well, that's good news, I guess. Doesn't really answer my question(s), though.
