Can anyone explain to me why I can't build an FR-S on the Scion website in the Houston area, or seemingly in the South general area, to include any of the TRD parts? It looks like when I plug in NY or OH or CA, the performance parts are an option, but in Texas or Florida, it's not even offered. I just plugged in a couple of zip codes, so I'm not trying to make a blanket statement, but this discussion had made me feel a bit crazy since everyone kept talking about building a 2015 FR-S with the TRD parts on the website, but I never saw that option. I'll let others draw what conclusions they like from this, but below are screenshots of what I am talking about.

Just fyi, I'm not saying this means anything, just asking.

Based on your screen capture I can see the springs at the bottom, right below the air filter.

That is an example from somewhere else in the country. The first image is what I see for a Houston zip code, the second is an example of either NY, OH or CA... not sure what that zip code was.

Maybe you chose zip codes too far from the port

I just pulled the trigger on 245/40/17 Rival S, HR 5mm spacers and open ended lugs for the extended studs. Hopefully they get here before the ProSolo in Jersey. I will give my opinion/feedback compared to 215/45/17 RS3v2

I just got an email back from Doug Gill, he says the letter looks suspicious since there's no letter head. However I just hopped over to the scion site and could build a 2014 manual with springs, bars and the trd intake.

I wondered as well, but my dealership confirmed it all for me, and yes, as you said the websites does too. The second page of that letter has what might be considered letterhead...

The intake is dealer only, it does a highlight when you hover over it, saying that it is a dealer only item. Already forwarded this to the guys in my local CS class who drive Mazda's, now to order some springs.

I dunno imo all you guys know this is bullshit and bending the rules. The only result from this is that you get bumped to BS next year and ruin the FRS in Cstreet. With that said do you think springs will even make that much of a difference?

So does it not matter that these port installed options don't appear to be available nationally? Anyone in the south/southeast see it as available to them on the website outside of a pure accessory?

Can we start a pool to see who is going to file the first protest on the TRD parts?

Rx8 driver?
MX-5 driver?
BRZ driver?
other FR-S driver?

Did anyone get these installed in time for El Toro?

Two of us did that I'm aware of. Met one other FRS guy waiting to see how protests get shaken out. I'll post updates when I can, but they may not throw paper til Sunday AM.

Could be union rules or something?
