I doubt anyone would really be pushing it today anyway, I'm just going to hang back and enjoy it myself.

Same, I just cleaned my car too. I should be there. Lime Creek is very dangerous now. Between bikers, and oncoming traffic, it's not worth being stupid and driving too fast on that road. Last time I was on it was during the 86 drive when DF/W and SA folks came up here and I am really surprised no one had a wreck. Tires were edging the side of the road kicking up dirt.

Last thing I need to do is wreck my DD, lol.

Guess it depends on the hours really. They've noticed an increase in "sports cars" on this road so they patrol it frequently.

Yeah just a fun Sunday afternoon drive. I'm not planning on being aggressive today at all. Lime creek is way too tight with no visibility on what's on the other side of each corner as well as that tar with rock surface which I don't like driving hard on... it can be a bit unpredictable. Add bikes and people in their Prius out for a Sunday stroll and....

There are other roads out in the middle of nowhere that are more scenic, less crowded etc and therefore more fun to me but all those I have done are 3 hrs minimum round trip. Today is just a nice chance to do a little drive.

to sit right behind the rear seats. the middle has the amp on it. 2 8" subs. matches the 20 degree angle of the rear seats. about 12" deep. Will take up a good part of my trunk, but I don't use the FRS for hauling stuff anyways.
You should take a break for a bit and have a beer and check out some other setups since you live so close. Just take the FJ or your girls brz I can message here on the thread when we are back from the drive.

Its still fun even at the speed limit. I love that about our cars... The part that's fun is still available under the speed limit where if you had a car built for straight line quarter mile... Not so fun under the limit.

What I don't love is with these stock tires you can squeal without even being aggressive in some circumstances gaining me evil looks from homeowners doing yard work thinking I am being reckless.

FYI the guy who installed my paint protection film is coming today. I've got to know him a little and invited him (he loves cars) so if you have any questions about film / clear bra or tinting etc he should be there. He's not a sales guy he just wants to come on a ride and meet people and their cars. He used to run a tuning shop.

If we do 2222, Bullick hollow, lime creek, then to a community park with what looks like a big parking lot called Elizabeth M Milburn Community park so some of us can swap drivers, stretch etc, and then back the same route we are looking at about 1.5 hrs including stretch time.

@Odd I think it was your car.
@ericmpena yeah that was me - they told me you stopped by, I was getting the springs on and alignment.

Alignment was 59.99 - I think. @ron_n_tx - They also give you a free soda so factor that in.

Thanks for those that showed up! What a beautiful day for a drive. We had no traffic and no problems either direction.

Afterwards I wondered what was all over my car... Turns out it is rubber from the tires... Hah hah oops (darn skinny stock tires). We didn't drive that aggressively!
