It's not like the pipe is immovable. It's very flexible and there is enough movement to get it out the way when required. I really wouldn't see this as an issue. Anyway, I've got my update: 183lb.ft and 230bhp at the hubs (Dynapack). I'll get graphs scanned in and uploaded shortly.

75mm Pulley:

Comparison between my old N/A Tune. For reference my stock tune with replacement panel filter made 166bhp on the same dyno, same day.

@Drift-Office / @DeliciousTuning or anyone else, any ideas why there's a slight drop 4/4.5k? Its not something that bothers as I don't feel it, more intreagued. The tuners car does similar but not quite as much. Different exhaust config though. For reference mine is decat manifold, Berk HFC and all else stock.

I see you have a clamp on that hose in one of the bolt holes for the ac cover. Was that supplied with the kit? Seems like that may be the reason its pulling it back some.

I never saw my kit before it was install (supplied and installed by the shop). I wasn't charged for any extra clamps either so i would assume it is in the kit.

I have a mocal custom ordered kit, pretty much the same i just miss out on the fancy perrin mount.

Mines a bit further back but there is plenty of room.

Finally got the time to fit mechanical ProSport boost gauge to the Sprintex Sc.
Can finally measure boost, 11PSI on 75mm pulley.
Managed to get gauge same color as the dash lights and keep vent functional.

What SW and tuner have you used, as the dip around 4000rpm is not normal for this kit.

Actually I've looked at a few graphs from the 1st post and it does appear to be there on all of them, the dynapack graphs do exaggerate it though.

It's done on ECUtek by Abbey Motorsport.

On some of the earlier tunes we did, yes there was a dip, but we have been able to remove the dip and have more of a flat torque curve. Though we did play around with the tune in that area in order to make that happen. Here is a link to the more recent tune most everyone us running.

Note these are Dyno Dynamic numbers, which read a little lower than a DynoJet.

Cheers,
William Knose

Like I stated in my previous post I believe it is going to be in the tune. You can play around with the cams, timing, fueling and get it dialed out. It does take a fair amount of time to figure it all out though.

Cheers,

Thanks Bill! I figured it may be cam timing, however it's really not something that bothers me, certainly not enough to warrant paying for more dyno time. If you look at this below, where I've created and scaled a graph similar to most other dynos and you can see how insignificant it really is:

Here is Abbey's own car, similar map:

You can see that there really isn't a dip if it was scaled out like my plot above and would actually look very similar to the @DeliciousTuning dyno graph. IMO it must be to do with the removal of the cat in the manifold.
