Hi everyone ! Between december and january i will install an edelbrock supercharger on my gt86. I live in france and we only have 98 octane gas. I'm running stock exhaust except agency power catback. Do you think that carb tune will work with 98 octane gas ?
Maybe edelbrock will do a special tune like 92 carb tune ?

Hi mate, I'm sadly from the same country

It will work perfectly fine with RON98. If you wanna extract all the potential from the RON98 you can ask Delicious Tuning to make a special map for you, which should be a slight detuned from Octane 93 as RON98 is like Octane 92,5.

I plan to do the same.

Please don't go to shit French tuner. They know absolutely nothing about cars.

the carb tune won't be able to believe its luck with 98 RON gas

it'll be absolutely fine and will happily run 95 as well

1) Love the results from both Edelbrock and Delicious.

2) I just want this SC kit even more now.

3) Is the Delicious tune worth paying the extra $ for on normal gas (I won't be able to use ethanol/flex fuel)... I couldn't care less about the CARB stuff - just worried about reliability, efficiency and safe power.
I decided to bite the bullet and have Delicious send me a Flash N Go map for my Edelbrock kit as I'm on 93oct and I have the ACE header on my car.

It was a very good choice for me, especially given the lack of local dyno tuning support for this platform in my area.

I will post up some of my comparison notes between the carb and delicious tune in my review thread, but I must say, I am very happy with the switch.

The Delicious tune has 0 knock instances, where my CARB tune did show some knock (likely due to other mods I have done, such as the header). The new tune also offered better driveability and more power, which again is likely due to my additional mods. My only complaint with the Delicious tune is that the throttle curve seems kind of lame compared to the CARB tune. I am getting ready to email Zach about this here shortly to see if they can liven it up a bit.

We are a DT dealer and discuss the tunes quite extensively with them. Edelbrock kits are in stock and will need to be placed on pallets for shipping. We are working on shipping a kit out to Europe soon, however, our client will not have time to install for another few months.

Hey Jordan,

I also went with the Delicious Flash N Go Tune and so far I love it! On the carb tune, I was having issues with my advance multiplier dropping after autocrossing. (like in the 0.4 range) This was with the OE header & exhaust. Possible reasons would be California 91 gas and my higher than normal IAT's due to my oil cooler being in front of the LTR. So far, it seems the Delicious Flash N Go is keeping my advance multiplier pegged at 1 or close to it. No more starting at 0.7.

I special requested a quicker throttle response from Delicious from the get go and it is pretty damn responsive. At the same time I installed a catless header, so combined with the FNG tune that freight train pull is from 2500 till red line.

The carb kit is still a great kit to get. Especially if you do not have a Ecutek license & cable and live in Cali. Just buy the Delicious Flash N Go tune for your main tune and you'll always have the carb tune when smog comes around.

-Aaron

You don't get the supplementary power train warranty. Warranty on supercharger parts is still covered under the standard duration and terms.

Does the Edelbrock SC officially have the CARB clearance yet? Or is it still pending? If pending, expected date?

If I install the kit tomorrow and take it in (California) for testing will I be able to get it to pass?
