07 and 08 models have the Manual Crank windows last I saw. I have an 09 and none of them in the lot had manual windows or locks. :<

Although... I did get the 09 just as it came out. >_> Power windows/locks + AC and ofc MT <3

:>

I can't speak for any other cars that are recent though. :/

i definitely wouldn't say it sucks. however, i wish we got the diesel engines over here. my Taco has treated me extremely well, and it's about to roll 130,000 miles.

I HATE crank windows I can deal with manual locks if needed but I agree that this car will more than likely have power windows and locks.

No need to hate the crank window. The following was actually happened before. When involved in a car accident and the car was flipped and the door was stuck, the driver was able to get out the car unharmed because she was able to crank the window when there is no power on the car. Imagine if you were in the same situation with automatic windows...

Passenger can just deal with the crank. I personally hate having windows open, so the harder it is for a passenger to lower the window the better.

Power locks are actually good though, family friend has an old Corolla with no power windows or locks, and the locks are extremely annoying.
It might be because of my lack of AC, but I find it extremely nice in my '88 Celica that I can wind down the passenger side window with little effort. With both windows and the sunshine roof open, it gets cool in a jiffy and I get the wind in my hair like on a convertible.
Plus that I can slow down and chat with pretty ladies on the sidewalk.

if it were an emergency, I'd bust the window if needed. if you flip your car and at least one window doesnt shatter or open in some way then you can probably open a door too lol, now if you drove it into a lake then ya that would be nice but I dont plan on doing that lol... and the only reason I hate em is the fact that you cant reach the passenger crank half the time unless you're stopped and it is very unsafe to do while driving, plus if you get pulled over the police come to the passenger side half the time now anyways and hows it gonna look if you're reaching over your passenger seat fumbling around trying to roll down the window, the cop might think your trying to stash something or go for a gun or something... you never know

Its humorous to see people who think they can just bust a car window like its a movie.

You realize you can't just punch the damn thing right? You'd need some form of tool to smash it with, and unless you ride around with your tire-iron riding shotgun, it might be a bit hard to do that in an emergency.

Anyways back to the breaking.

Now that you guys are talking about all of these intricate breaking techniques.. I'm starting to winder if what I'm doing is going to blow my clutch up.

Depending on the light situation, I'd ether put my car in N and cruise it all the way and break. If I see the light go green and theres a long o'l line I'll break when the distance looks kind of right and downshift from whatever gear I'm on to 2nd or 3rd depending on how far the car infront of me moves. o_O

Enlighten me! Lol
