Good thing he won't be president in 2025, so he won't be able to throw a temper tantrum when his unsafe standards are ignored.
On phone I am. Therefore, if mistakes I make, Frank Oz blame you should.

Doubt that too, especially since that's been a denied rumor repeatedly.

The world went on just fine without all the safety standards for decades. They used to say it was the last form of natural selection. I personally have no problem with lowering safety standards in order to increase gas milage/emissions. Heavy cars suck.
Also someone posted they are finally making the Mustang a muscle car. That's exactly what its been since the 70's. Originally it was a pony car and sold lot hot cakes, they were evolutionary in a popularity and a lot like what Tada had hoped the FRS. The new Mustang isn't a muscle car with IRS, I think its going to be a lot like the '89-'94 T-Bird SuperCoupe, same weigh, irs, FI. Muscle cars were big Sedan chassis made 2 door with a big block thrown in. I've drove many and they are aren't God's gift to motoring.

I'm sure the lead engineer of the GT86 project knows the sales figures and isn't making up a 100k sales number lol.
As of August 2013, Toyota had sold over 70,000 GT86's worldwide (and 21k in the US). Since then, Toyota has sold another 11,000 FR-S's in the US, or 52% more. Based on that, we can roughly extrapolate that Toyota has sold about 106,531 GT86's in the world. And that's not including BRZ sales. http://www.caradvice.com.au/245493/toyota-86-australia-ranks-3rd-in-global-sales/

Obviously a more powerful version will come, no question about it. They wouldn't just pump out the same car year after year, it'll get stale.
The real question is whether it'll be turbo or 2.5l. I'm leaning towards the 2.5l. |

Sad that "more power" seems to equal "better". Too bad they can't do anything to upgrade some of the owners.

I agree with you though, more power doesn't mean it will be better. Superb handling, great mpg, balance; one of these would be compromised if more power is added. Plus, when is it enough?Even if the twins get 250HP, there will always be someone saying "MOAR POWAH!111!11" I just want more torque than anything... |

I just enjoy my stock GT86. It's an awesome car. It's the best car I've ever had.
I see no point in yearning for something that doesn't even exist, especially when what you already have is awesome. Will I take a test drive in a new version if it ever appears at my dealers? Sure! Love to. Will I buy it? Maybe, if it's even more awesome than the one I've got. I'm not convinced that's even possible. In the meantime, I love my little GT86 just the way it is. Every day, through every commute, every mountain pass, every roundabout, every time it wiggles its naughty tail. Did I mention it's awesome? Oh, I think I did. |

I love my Fr-s. Could it use about 50hp more? Sure!! But i'm not complaining. I enjoy the car for what it is.
What we could use in an update is stronger axles. That way we don't have to worry about breaking them when we lower the car and go to have some fun! |
