Does anyone else have a sound clip of this with the stock over pipe and header?

Question

I have had this exhaust for a little over a year. Cold starts are loud as hell. Overall it's a good exhaust can't complain with the price.
I ordered the trd bumper, man that thing was pricey. But it should look good when I install it. Anyway, I have some UEL headers coming and I'm afraid it might be too loud.

Are there any other quad tip exhausts on the market that are a little quieter?

anybody else have this problem?
I also have this issue. I heard a tune could fix that. Can anyone chime in?

Noob question but....If i were to get the J2 dual tips and leave the factory downpipe would it be that much quieter? Is it possible to install it that way with no problems? I personally want no/very little drone and just abit louder/larger than stock pipes because this is my DD car. I dont care to have everyone see me coming. They do that enough already!!

I wonder how much performance is lost between this 2.75" and a true 3" exhaust for turbo set ups.

just a tip for those who have the j2 downpipe. if your hearing a rattling sound (it sounds hi pitched and really messed up) check the j2 badge on the downpipe. a weld broke off on mine and it was driving me crazy for a week before i could get it on the lift and see it slapping into the dp. a slight tug and it came right off

What gaskets should i get to replace the ones the kit comes with ... I ask because.........a buddy is giving me his old j2 exhaust...only has like 1k miles on it...don't want to re-use his bolts/gaskets ... Any tips?

I know nothing of gaskets....would they be the same as some auto zone stuffs?

I also have the J2 cat back. I traded my stock for it a while back. I think I had about 400 mi on my car, the cat back had a few thousand. And all hardware was fine. It's loud during cold starts, but calms down once warmed up. The main thing that drew me to this exhaust was the quad tips, and the exhaust note. Fairly simple install, just don't tear the hangers. I forgot to do a weight comparison but there didn't seem to be any weight gain/lose over the stock system.

yeah, the front pipe is way lighter, but i think the muffler may be a littler heavier than stock. from the shipping label on my box, it seems the weight is about even.
