Whatever could you mean

transformer hit the nail on the head, the LF-A is most certainly in the same category as the GTR.

So FF is also designed by Pininfarina?

Sure the LFA has a bunch of nice and unique tech in it, but just like many of you argue against the GTR, the LFA is just another computer controlled car.

First of all it has NEVER been universally agreed that a traditional manual=driving pleasure, I found A LOT of enjoyment in taking an M6 to redline and the SMG banging off an upshift fast enough to send a "BRRRAPP" out the exhaust. And Actually in another interview with Tanahashi he stated they chose an older style automated manual specifically because of the raw mechanical feel compared to a twin clutch setup while keeping the F1 inspiration. A perfect example of the devotion, they selected a system that has SLOWER shift times on purpose to make sure the driver is feeling the right sensation.

The LFA doesn't have the crazy electronic diff control that constantly is changing power split so you always have traction and whatnot. It does have the sequential box, but it's probably because changing conventionally would be nigh impossible because of how quickly it revs. Beyond that, you can turn traction off and just drive. In a GTR you can't turn anything off.

The automated manual in LFA is slower than the fastest Dual clutch, but it's the fastest single clutch in business.

The GT-R CANNOT be in the same category as the LFA because the Nissan was built to a price point, the LFA was not. The GT-R is a production car meant to be profitable and the LFA is an exercise. The R32 and R33 were both faster than the NSX and nobody cared...then again there was no internet....

Getting back to Ferrari it doesn't matter who did the styling, that's no excuse it's still Ferrari itself that signed off on some of those monstrosities!
Off the top of my head; F50, 330gt, 400, 550, Mondiale...

The GT3 RS nailed its goal of providing a pure drivers car and not being overly complex A few weight savings mods, a engine to die for, a RR layout and a proper manual transmission. Didn't need to rely on expensive technology to do it.

Of course it isn't agreed that manual= driving pleasure. But for me and many others it always will.

The first Lexus LFA in Black Amethyst

The other day I had the opportunity to shoot pics of the latest LFA devanning in the USA. This particular LFA is in Black Amethyst, the 1st in the USA and possibly the world! Black Am is a deep purple color. One must see it in person to apprecate it.

LFA #366 Details now listed on post #1.

Here are more pics...
