Just noticed I've gone over 250,000 miles. Any other quarter million milers out there?

Time for an oil change.

Since that oil has allowed your car to go over 250,000 miles - I wouldn't change it -

I would have been there by now had I not "sold out" in January 2024 as I was at 231,000 miles. Congrats!

Installed Rear upper control arms and toe arms. It's been a long while since I've worked on the car. I look forward to getting back on track this year.

As a bonus, lost 10lbs.

I just ordered the RUCA too with 10% off sale. So the Toe arms save weight too?

Funny you brought that up. Yesterday I bought a sheet of Lexan to make my own front corner windows. I heard the stock ones were 5lbs each.

I was lied to both only weigh 1.25lbs. Put them back in and returned the lexan sheet.

Thanks for the info! Sorry it didn't work out for you.

I read somewhere that this kit will add 28lbs of lightness.
Must be from the side and rear windows.

Not today.

Had new tires installed on the car several weeks ago and forgot to post in the ‘ol forum. I had a set of Continental ExtremeContact Sport 02 installed. Size is 225/50/zr16 on 16x7.5” Konig Oversteer. Feels pretty good.

Wheel bearing swap

At just over 110k miles with 25-30 track days, I figured it might be time for Timkin replacements. Finished the rears today and will do the fronts tomorrow.

The old ones came out easily and didn't feel too bad. They looked OEM.

The fronts were easier than the rears.

New Headunit

Made the Magnuson-Moss 2016 FRS->2020 Toyota 86 Head Unit conversion harness. Once I got the hang of depinning a couple terminals it wasn't so bad sleeving the rest of the wires. Plug and Play and retains factory controls features. mic/usb/amp/etc.
