New to site. This is definitely one of the best FRS forums out there. Just got mine last week and she didn't dissappoint. Everything I was waiting for and more so excited for what's ahead. Asphalt M/T.

Hey guys!

i've been a long-time lurker of the forums, best place to keep up to date on relevant and actual news (not just rumours, like many news sites :P)

but decided to say hi to everyone!

Put my deposit down on a Rally Blue Pearl BRZ Sport-Tech (yay Canada :P) in December and asked for delivery for March (when the snow/salt starts going away here)
then i got a call last week saying that they got delivery early, which was kind of bittersweet, since i don't want to be driving it around first thing in the snow. SO im still going to be picking it up in March, but i thought i'd go for a visit:

and as you can tell from the smile on my face, i love it!

But now im having that dilemma of whether or not to take it home and store it for the next couple months, or wait for march to pick it up...

what do you guys think?

I Decided that i should probably make an intro, i've been on here for a while. I'm 21 from Northern British Columbia (currently living in nanaimo for School) I've been around the car scene since before i can remember. i have followed followed this car since the rumour mill began in 2009.

I've had a decent set of cars so far and am no stranger to the track or Auto-x. my first vehicle was a 93 LHD RX-7 bought as a rolling shell when i was 15. 2 years of working after school and on weekends bought me a stock 20b and bell housing to mount to the stock 5 speed. a custom built turbo system with A/W intercooler was fabbed up by a couple good (older diesel guys) mechanics. wasn't looking for crazy power but ended up with a 300whp @ 8 psi on low boost (winter mode, Yes i drove it in the winter) and 520whp on high boost ~22psi (Summer). drove it for 3 months and got a Trade offer Straight across for a 2004 S2K (with H/T) with >20000km (16000miles) and said hell ya.

S2k was slowly built throughout college, Ohlins TTX, T1R Exhaust, full underbody trays and a proper (custom) Diffuser, Wing, then GT30R (460whp) turbo system right before i sold it. it resides somewhere in florida these days. currently drive a 2005 Cobalt SS with TVS 1320 supercharger swap and upgraded clutch (320whp sleeper).

Before you guys go thinking that, i come from a rich family, i should say that i've worked for all of this with little to no help from family. I've worked at a Mill throughout high school ($25/hr) and currently (since i started college 4 years ago) at a mine during the summer (clear roughly 25k each summer) i have a united savings fund (my parents put away money for both me and my sister) that covers tuition and books each year. i pay room and board to maximize savings through the school year.

Hoping to sell my Cobalt and use that money + what i have left over from selling the S, to fund my purchase of an FR-S, i put down a deposit but have been waiting since i joined the forum in October still no VIN or timeline (Think i've been forgotten but i'll wait now anyway) Want a Silver FR-S M/T hopefully buy the end of this summer i'll have one. now you guys know probably way too much about me. but i'm glad to be here.

Cole

Hi everyone. I put a down payment for an FR-S Ultramarine 6m last Friday. I've been driving Camry's for about a dozen years now, but it's time for a little treat.

Thanks for the great board, I've learned a lot already.

Longtime subaru fan. Air National Guard member currently activated.
Was waiting for Subaru to bring out a coupe, as i previously owned a 96 Impreza Brighton. JDM swapped RHD, etc etc etc
Pretty much a JDM Fanboy that showed the car as well as drove it hard.

More pics available if anyone wants to see them.

Picked up a WRB BRZ a few weeks ago here in Houston Tx. Not going to modify it much for the first year of ownership (wheels, intake, exhaust, coils, spoiler). Going to gather parts up as they become available ( i dont want to purchase stuff to soon with alot of aftermarket parts yet to be released, then regret it).

Hi Everyone,

I just got my FRS three weeks ago and absolutely love it! Came in raven black with 6 speed manual. I can't believe how addicting this car is to drive. Anyhow, I'm from Seattle so any PNW peeps are free to message me. Anyone have any good recommendations for new tires? As fun as these are to burn out in, I want something with more grip. I heard the Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1's were pretty decent and can fit on the OEM wheels. Other than that I plan on doing some minor upgrades to the exhaust and intake to boost some more HP's but keep the rest stock.
