People just don't get the "correct" kit for their car. It is available though.

White LED are full spectrum, yes they have a peak light frequency, but they give off a wide range.

Colored LED are very narrow spectrum.
I just checked for the FRS and all the kits say "low beam"... How is highbeam handled? Does the projector move or...?

That's all up to you. As long as you don't get reported, I won't be banning you... well, more like don't see any reason to ban you.

i have the OPT7 6000K Flux Beam LED bulbs installed for my low beams on my 2015 with the stock projectors. Had them for two years now and no one flashed me and they are much brighter than the stock halogen bulbs...they would probably perform even better with a retrofit...costs just under $100 if you are interested..they now have a Flux Beam X for $110 with more lumens

my cx-5 grand touring has that but that is higher end fancy technology

on the fr-s my high beams just reflect of the housing and shoot outwards like a halogen bulb would but more intense light and act as drl's during normal daytime driving

From what I can tell...

The low beam is a "H11" bulb. The High beam is a "9005" bulb.

The high beams are the inner part of the headlights. The Projectors are the low beams.

I found many options by googling "4300K LED H11" or "4300K LED 9005"

There were also other Kelvin ratings if you want a yellower color (lower number that 4300) or if you want a bluer color (5000K and higher)

Prices are all over the map, and I am not sure what you want to spend.

I hope this is useful info...

I have HID in my high beams. I did this because I literally live in the middle of now where. There are lots of deer and almost no traffic. They illuminate the whole area very well. Of course I switch to low beam (which I have left stock) when I see another cars headlights in the distance. I am courteous and do not get flashed.

I was actually just looking for info for the Z and the FRS made a good application example that I knew you guys would be familiar with. I'm very tempted to get new lights for the FRS now though. $100 is throw away money when it comes to car parts lol
