Piston speed is still under 5000fpm. This is still a manageable number as long as the valve train can support it.

I'm not nitpicking your post, but just letting you know everything is going to be ok. Piston speeds on a built engine can exceed 6000fpm. For a street engine, I would say 5500fpm is the limit of what you would ever want to run (I wouldn't). Even at 8800rpm I don't see there being a need to push for more.

John, would you recommend the stock intake over the Airaid for your tune? given that the airaid didnt make anything did you see it lose anything on the cars you've been able to tune?
