So on Monday I converted. I traded in my FR-S for a '15 STi Launch Edition. After spending about a month on the STi forums (NASIOC, IWSTI, etc) I have to say that this forum right here is the most helpful to all members, no elitist attitude bs and overall a fun place to read and post. I guess I'll be hanging around these parts for some time to come.

After ~2 days with my STi I will say this, it's a totally different beast compared to the FR-S with its own purpose. It's hard to make a direct comparison but one thing I've noticed is that the steering in the STi is kind of numb coming from an 86. I miss that feedback.

Also, the "journalists" writing the articles about the STi saying the ride is "extremely jarring" what the hell are you on about? This thing floats compared to my FR-S...

Welcome to the WRX/STi world Enjoy the extra power and AWD stability and grip. 12 WRX owner here. Unlike you, I will be keeping my WRX and going to the BRZ side of things. Congratulations on your purchase though, them Launch Edition looks so sweet.

I could've kept both but would have been cutting it too close for my liking financially. I do plan on getting another FR-S/BRZ later on though.

So far I'm pretty happy and impressed with the STi but being my first manual car I have a ton to adjust to

Never dump the clutch in an AWD car.

Haha yea, I know better than that. Stalled it out a few times the first day but now I've got it down enough to where I'm not rolling back, stalling, etc. I can get around pretty easily now.

Tonight after work, I was too lazy to cook dinner, so stopped by Wendy's. Going through the Drive Through the kid working there asking me millions of questions about my 86.

Cold, allergy & body is sore from playing soccer on the wkend... life is still good. When someone or something gets in my way of eating, there's a problem here.

After 20mins of Q&A, FINALLY he let me go. Note to self, not driving through w my car anymore lol
