People's Reaction to Your New FR-S

I don't have mine yet, but whenever I tell people it's a BRZ they always say things like "It'll kill everything else on the road" or "Man that car is going to be super-fast". It's a bit of a struggle, but I always force myself to tell them that it's a car which is not actually that fast, as it focuses more on driving and pleasure you get from it.

Today on my way home, I drove past a sedan with tinted back seat windows on my left side. I didn't know anyone was in the back seat, but five seconds later, the car I just passed steps on the gas to just get slightly passed me and the back window rolls down and a guy sticks his entire head out and looks back at me while nodding his head and giving me the thumbs up

Visited a Lexus dealer for work in one about a week before the Australian launch. Had half of the mechanics and half of the salesmen looking over the car. They asked for the keys to look at the interior.

Guy on the way home in an a corolla follows me into a turning bay takes photos off his camera then gets out of the turning bay and continues straight + this new merc driver wouldn't stop looking and random people tail gating and speeding around me lol this guy in a 200sx wanted a race and I had 11kms on the clock!

this. i get waaaay too much of this, haha. doesn't matter how fast i'm going either. more often than not i'm doing about 15 over on the highway and BMW's and Mustangs (i've noticed do this more often to me) will tailgate for a bit while i maintain my speed and then switch lanes and speed by.

I got a "nice car buddy!" from a guy in a sweet GTI that was pacing me then took off, and then last night a guy in a NSX honked at me on the highway when he got beside me.

I've yet to have anyone do anything too crazy, but I'm usually driving it, so it's hard to stop and chat lol. Before I had it tinted I felt like I was in a fish bowl, or some alien spacecraft... people give the car the strangest looks because they haven't seen one (then again, I live in AR, so it's kind of expected... "Billybob... did you see dat car derr?" lol). On my recent road trip I had a few cars fly up on me on the interstate... slow down, and slowly creep by me so they could get a good look.

Stoner dude last night Saw the car unlock as I was leaving the bowling alley with my girlfriend.....pretty much went full psycho mode saying "No I want to talk to the owner of this car." He approaches me scaring my girl nearly to death asking all kinds of questions. Pretty much jizzed over the car.

Got a lot of attention today. Went to pick up a pizza, the cute Italian girl was leaning over the counter staring at it when I walked in, started asking me about it. Then some younger kids in a camry drove by real slow, stopped, and 2 got out and came in and were asking me about it.

Then at Wawa I got to the counter and the girl says "everyone was talking about your car when you drove up, they didn't think it was out yet" I wanted to say "yea, it isn't...I know people"

And when I got out to it some guy riding a motorcycle was walking around it checking it out. Talked to him for a minute or two about it, and while we were talking another guy just walked up to it to check it out.

On Friday when I was in NYS, a guy in his AE86 gave me mad props, while driving by.

Also today an older gentleman again at the light, driving a Lexus RX350 asked me what I was driving and said the car was beautiful.

Let me see, I had a cop pull next to me and ask me what car it was. Surprised to hear it was a scion. A kid on the freeway asked me if it was fast, and then went a head and said it was the first he had seen. Cars pursue me almost all the time.

I got a thumbs up from a guy in a fixed up blue RSX on the 118 freeway. I gave him a nice salute as I drove past by him.

Almost everytime I stop somewhere, it seems I'm asked about my car. I came out of the grocery store not too long ago, and there was a guy in a Challenger parked by me, just sitting in his car, waiting for me to come out. He was real nice, just curious about the car.

I've had all kinds of response from people. Got mobbed by some pretty cool asian guys that were visiting someone at my condos. They were all about wanting to know how it drove and what not. I had another guy come up to me and asked me if I knew what I was driving. I said "Of course, don't think anyone driving one of these has it without knowing exactly what it is." He said "No I mean do you know what you're driving? It's a Subaru." I said "That all depends. Some are Subaru, some are Toyota, and some are Scion. Doesn't matter, it's still the same kick ass car no matter which one it's badged as." And he said "Oh my god. This is the Subaru BRZ STi. I thought they were only sending these to Japan!" At that point I turned and walked away.
