I guess we can't laugh to ourselves anymore when Camaro guys yell at us for driving foreign cars.
Do you really consider cars made in Canada as "foreign"? If so I have some really bad news for a shit load of Americans driving Chrysler products (especially minivans).

Only in the sense that I'm not permitted to enter Canada. Something about yelling "hosers" to some RCMP across the Niagra Falls in my youth. In that regard, the country is more foreign to me than China.

Don't worry, you might be a foreigner but we can still call you an American.

I spend much more time in Detroit lately I will probably have to apply for citizenship!

Oh and on topic just how many freakn' Camaros are there around Detroit anyway. I bet I saw 50 in a 5 minute period this week. At one intersection there were two waiting in every direction.

One evening, I ate a bunch of fried food and drank some bud lights and that night I dreamed I was driving around in a Camaro with 3 popped collars, white rimmed sunglasses and was puffing on a vape stick... At the stop light I dropped the top and looked at the driver next me and said, "sup", blew out a vape puff and missed a shift as I pulled away from the light.

Then I woke up in a cold sweat, had a panic attack, puked on myself, then walked downstairs and threw all the leftover fried food in the garbage can and poured the remaining bud light down the drain.

Never again man... Never again.

Must be the alcohol letting out those inhibitions... in your dreams. Maybe you should stop at a Chevy dealer come this November and realize your dream!

(Like you'll never have fried food and beer again? )

I don't get it? It looks like a mid-model refresh, not a completely new body style. Was the design shop at GM afraid to go out on a limb or something with the new Camaro?

Basically, yes, although it is quite a bit different (Shorter in length and height). There was a lot of discussion about going more after the GEN2 look which actually sold more than the GEN1, but in the end the current look was a pretty big hit with Buyers and GM didn't want to mess up the good mojo they had going. They've been bit before by changing the body style too much (that's what killed it off in the last couple of gens).

Good article about this recently in this month's Automobile, but don't have it with me.

Also, the front and rear facias of the new one is built in a way that could be substantially changed in the future if it was decided to go that way.

I'm personally looking forward to seeing the new one in person as I really like the way it looks in photos. Had this been the Camaro being sold in 2012, I probably would not be driving the FR-S.

Well, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Certainly there can be an argument for "refining" a particular body style (see:Porsche). On the other hand, it's so close to the outgoing model that I'd be willing to bet that most people would not be able to tell the difference. Personally, it doesn't do anything for me, but to each his own.
