Received my supercharger the other day. Right off the bat I checked to see if the fittings in the back were loose and as soon as I touched it the brake booster connection snapped clean off......gonna pull the rest out and replace with brass fittings instead. Hopefully nothing else messes up. Glad I've got mechanic friends that can help me with this kind of stuff

Another belt down. This time I didn't have to cut it off. It pulled off the first thread of the belt. Need to figure out WHY it's doing this really.badly.

Out of curiosity, how much do you guys pay for belts. The belt for the KWSC is $75 but it's for cogged pulleys.

I would suggest you find a good Subaru tuner shop in your area and have them diagnose. The problem is obviously pulley and/or tensioner related. Do you have any visible wobble in your pulley system? Are you using the Gates belt? I've been beating on mine for awhile and no slippage.

No visible pulley wobble, but the tensioner is visibly loose if I squeeze the belt

I think the last std belt I bought at O'reillys was around $43.

Replace it with a new OEM assembly. That's what I'd do. It's fairly inexpensive from Village Scion parts online.

If I've lost 3 belts from the OEM, I really think I should try an aftermarket one. Also, probably gonna try a little bit smaller belt

Check the alignment of the supercharger pulley (70mm) itself. Does it rotate true and straight

I'm running the 75mm still. And it seems to be running straight. Later tonight I'll get a vid of the belt going, see if y'all can see anything.

Sorry to hear about you loosing another belt, man. How much did it cost to get the wiring fixed the last time?

I'm anxious to see the vid, can you also post a pic of the broken belts?

How sharp/high are the ridges on the pulleys? They shouldn't be long enough to touch to valleys in the belt.
