Interesting to see what the decisions are based on.

We tested here thoroughly at 38deg C and oil temps did not exceed 126deg C, which our cars are good to over 130degC.
Now what may help us is Toyota use 5W30 fully synthetic oil, were as you are on 0w20 if I'm not mistaken.

What would be more beneficial to us here is additional water cooling to get the charger temps down.
I was getting to 126degC on aggressive runs up mountain roads, yes, our cars might be good for 130degC, but I have noticed power lost over 115degC.
After installing the oil cooler, with same driving conditions, I'm not getting over 105degC and the engine is very happy.

I'm running 5W30 full synthetic oil already.

This is the second belt that's eaten itself. This time, it decided to eat a wiring harness too, though. Car won't crank,

That sucks.
I've have one belt fail on mine so far. My installer noticed the idler pulley that comes with the kit is seating too far in so the belt does not seat in middle of this pulley, the front edge of the belt is riding on the edge of the pulley, this could be putting too much stress on the belt and causing failures. I'm not sure if this is just my kit or all kits are like that. We got a call to Innovate for advise. I want to just use a washer to move the pulley forward to have it line up correctly.

Definitely sucks. When installing the belt, make sure to properly shim the pulley prior to the supercharger pulley. From what we have seen all the pulleys are slightly different with respect to their offset and because of this they are all not the same.

So with this in mind you will want to shim the pulley so it sits as close to the middle of the pulley as possible while the vehicle is running. Something HG Motorsports has picked up on after multiple installations.

Cheers,
William Knose

Thanks. My friend and I are also thinking about trying to fab up a small plate to act as a bigger lip for the blower pulley

okay, so basically it's the tensioner that i'm having issues with. it's got too much play in it when i get on it, and that's why the belt is slipping off the pulleys.

this is what happened today:

basically the belt grabbed the harness, tore it up enough so wires touched, and shorted out my EFI fuse.

My tensioner has wobble/play too when the motor is spinning. I just assumed that is what a tensioner does when the motor is spinning... How much wobble is standard?

P.S. Anyone know how much a new tensioner costs? Never had any problems with my belts luckily. I did shim my idler pulley so the belt sits in the middle of the pulley.

I used 95 RON (91 OCT) with a can of Torco Octane Booster
To show you how effective Torco is, we put a stock 86 on the dyno, 119wkw, added Torco ran dyno, again got 129wkw

Impressive! What pulley are you running? What sort of max timing are you seeing during WOT pulls? Should be something like 25 deg towards redline?

I do love my torco. Keep a bottle in the trunk with me. I always use it at the track.
