I did not say that I out rightly pointed it out to a person; it was just a thought going through my head as I looked at how 'overweight' we as a society as become (MEN & WOMEN). And if their emotional state is to over eat then it's a 'YOU' issue. If you don't like people emotional criticizing you do something about it. I have never met a person who lost weight that wasn't happy about it and I always give props to overweight individuals who are at the gym, doing physical activities, or making the right choices when it comes to eating.

And you call it an anorexic standard of beauty and I respectfully disagree. I call it normal standard of beauty. When the average waist of an American woman is: 34.5 inches compared to 10 inches slimmer fifty years ago and that was normal. I call it like it is. Truth. And it is the same with men too. And if feeding the anorexic standard of beauty is bad then I'll continue to do it until it becomes "normal"; although, I'm inconspicuous about it and would never tell a women she's fat only men. BTW, this is all IMHO. :happy0180:

Maybe they don't and that is fine. But when they post on twitter & facebook about "LOOK AT ME" or even in their mannerisms/demeanor I can tell they do give a crap about what people think and I ain't excluding men from this discussion either.

Take a social psychology or marketing class or two. You'll thank me for freeing your mind from your vapid consumerism and blind media-informed bias. It's actually kind of gross how much you buy into what you're saying. Huge difference between an anorexic standard of beauty and what we had fifty years ago, trust me on that one. Yeah, Americans are fatter now...but we weren't objectifying and sexualizing women to the point they feel terrible if they're not showing ribs 50 years ago.

You are correct in saying if a woman is like 10-25lbs underweight thats anorexic but what I'm trying to write here is that when the beauty scale is skewed & not clearly defined. Maybe you and I have a different view of beauty but I'd prefer women to be slim & slender and not really skinny. Ideally; 34-24-34 at 5'4". Poor choice of words on my part.


And colleges are biased to some degree (professors/books) as media. And what I believe is somewhat unpopular because it goes against the social 'norms' of today when it comes to (Social & Psychology dynamics of the Sexes) and I would be vilified if I was forthright about my thoughts. And trust me what I learned in college is almost a 180 from my perspective now. We were objectifying and sexualizing women fifty years ago just not overtly and in a different way.

And I agree homework does blow thats why doing with an intelligent female classmate makes it easy especially if shes easy on the eyes. :happy0180:

Higher education has an overt liberal bias, I see that and I'm subjected to it daily. That doesn't mean I have a liberal bias, or any other bias I'm unaware of. Regarding any type of objectification or discrimination: it persists and persists entirely upon changing our understanding of its current form.
