I don't really think you have a problem. Some people have reported driving 50+ Miles in a single trip without sensors before the light came on. My personal experience from last winter was that even if I wasn't parking anywhere near my summer wheels I'd have to drive over about 20 miles in a single trip before the light would come on.

As far as the dealership and legal requirements go, the dealership or other shop can't disable TPMS for, you can't sell a car with TPMS disabled, but in Minnesota there is no requirement that TPMS be functioning.

Ouch. Those valve stems aren't cheap. Like $80 a pop I think.

Here's one for the group.

I ran a set of racing slicks on my FR-S for two track days this summer. NO TPMS installed on the wheels. I swapped the rims at the track and it never triggered the TPMS light.

Last night I put the same rims on my car (this time with winter rubber) and on my way into work the TPMS light did come on.

Same rims, different tires, different results.

Crazy

So who has put their cars away for winter? Who's going to be driving them this winter like me?

Anyone up for doing brunch sometime soon?

I'll be driving it all winter. Still haven't put on winter tires though.

Certainly up for a gathering!

Mine's going in for the winter after this weekend. Would like to meet up if it'd be this weekend.

Nice I'll be interested to see how that works out.

I still need to get you crawler back to you. It was a huge help I'm going to have to pickup one of my own.

I also had the thought of going out for dinner/drinks some night next week. As I recall Burger Jones was pretty nice when we went there last year. Which would people prefer?
