My buddy re-mustered from PPCLI to some environmental tech thing some years ago. I couldn't believe he went from base corporal pay to Specialist 2. Sounded way less strenuous, but the course was tough. Beat lugging around a moetar plate his mountain warfare course, though...

Yeah, I can imagine they are difficult to clean, though the ones I like are not as close spaced.


The only problem is they're heavy, if I'm not mistaken. And I wanted light 17x7, not heavy 18x8. So opposite direction there.

Edit: They're also less mesh than I thought. I still like them though.

I wasn't aware of such a trade. I left a trade that would have given e spec 2 if I made it to PO2. The responsibility to pay ratio, the work environment, and the time away from my family just wasn't worth it to me.

I'll have to look, this was a while ago. I think it's still in the army. I was looking at ACS 565 (aircraft structures) at the time which I remember was Spec 1, but pussed out.

When I was looking at them they had numbers attached to the trades, if that gives you a time reference for how long ago that was.

Oh me too, I have another thread on that lol. I think the 3000gt would make a great competition for the new supra and the FTO for the FRS
