One (and I am assuming here) the O2 sensors are wired with a length to go as far as needed.. that was down below.

Second, I already bought my front pipe and its installed. That was w/o the 2nd cat, nor would I want to run the O2 lines that far.

Main reason is don't want to buy another front pipe or over pipe.

Well this was published today: http://www.roadandtrack.com/features...ss-performance

They added a nameless axleback, prototype header, and did a tune. Sad to say that gains were not very much. The drivers experienced small notice in driving experience.

For me, noise. Cops here are very aggressive, so the last thing I want is something that announces my arrival.

That said, if there can be a setup w/ catless header that's almost as quiet as stock I'm all ears.

It does not look like their last prototype look more like one of their early prototype header.

The article didn't really say much beyond "We don't have time to do this right, so here's a half ass attempt that didn't work"

All I got from the article is the tune wasn't properly done. That's about it.

Also the BRZ sucks as a daily driver.

Weak article.

I hope nameless learns from this and includes a open bin basemap instead of relying on Visconti/EcuTek.

The FRZ just isn't the right car if you live in Detroit, I commuted there for 1 year, straight boring roads that are beat to shit no wonder cars designed in Detroit are over weight behemoths.

But they are spot on that the torque dip is a big issue.

Is this article the death kneel for this header endeavor?

If you look at the first couple of comments at the end of the article, Jason Griffith commented just four hours ago explaining the underwhelming results of the R&T testing.

For those of you that don't want to navigate back to the article, below are Jason's three comments:

First comment: "Want to make a few comments on this. Those are our company's parts and we offered to send the overpipe downpipe along with the Axleback exhaust but it appears they did not run it after it was sent along with a header they requested us to design, fabricate and deliver in 3 days door to door. So we took a shot in the dark with that header and sent a number of tunes to test with it that were between our full long tube race header tune and our short factory fit header"

Second comment: "We also sent tunes by Visconti Tuning and John there had provided them with the ECUTek tuning module and cable. The long and the short of it is that they didn't have the time to use any but the first tune sent which was for a header that allows much more aggressive tuning. No surprise the first setup was too rich and had to aggressive a cam timing. Life goes on."

Third comment: "Needless to say we will be releasing our full long tube track race header very soon along with tunes to support it. Also working on secondary muffling solutions in a 2.5" or 3" midpipe for quieter operation of the wilder header design."

However you look at it its bad publicity for not only nameless but the FRZ platform as a whole.

Why would nameless use Viscoti to tune a car for R&T magazine?

All the R&T slams show is this isn't a car built for Detroit living and Viscoti can't tune. But ultimately Nameless should have turned them down, when you aren't ready for you decline rather than embarrass.

I'm really curious about this. I thought they were using Bruce for their tuning. Then again, he doesn't tune Ecutek so maybe that caused them to look for someone else.
