Considering when it left id say it will be left Guam by now and close to Solomon Islands, normal is about 7-8 days to Townsville

Tracking for my original order still 'scheduled for production' and estimated delivery 25/05

I hope so!

It will probably be built around the 19th of this month!

Seems about 5-6 weeks before it gets to the Dealer - mine was 50 days but that went over the New Year period and was held up during Cyclone Oswald, so given that I'd say within the next week or so not that it should concern me but I will be going to have a look at it, I kinda got attached to it in a way!

I can understand that, once you start tracking it, you constantly check it's status.

Hey guys, need some advice here. I placed the order for my GT exactly 12 weeks ago, but my dealership said that their system doesn't show any progress for my order yet....so im wondering if this is normal or should I complain further?

I haven't read all 104 pages of this thread, so maybe i've missed something.......but from the few pages that I've read I understand that WA customers don't get the online tracking, and its not really the dealerships fault. So if having waited 12 weeks and still being in the dark is NOT NORMAL, whom do I complain to?

I was told that my car will take approx 7-9 months to arrive from time or order, and I can accept that....but what I don't like is being told that nobody knows the progress of my order.

I ordered mid July, and should be getting my GTS end of this month. I was originally told Feb 2014! Just keep in contact with your dealer every month or so, and they will tell you if anything changes.
Hope that helps!

What is the waiting period for people placing orders now? Are they still being told to wait approx 7-9 months or has it improved recently?

I wonder how the market demand would be at the end of this year.....do you guy think it will come to the point when most dealerships will already have cars sitting in stockyards by the end of this year?

Reason being if stocks are going to improve by then, I might consider pulling my order, then buy one when there are ready stocks available.

I ordered a GT 2 July last year, finally being built this month with delivery 25 May .. in the meantime I did a ring round last October and scored a GTS thru another Dealer with December build and picked it up 14 February. There are still a few waiting now 9 months plus, so your Dealer is pretty right

I suggest you grab a list of Toyota Dealers in WA [no tracking available like Eastern States] and ring around, you never know one could be sitting there or coming where the person who ordered for whatever reason has had to cancel

Otherwise ring the eastern States and fly over if necessary!!

In the meantime stick with this site, it helps pass the time and keeps you sort of sane! Actually have a read of the posts, you will get a good idea of anger, joy, frustration but overall a bunch of people sharing a common thing - I WANT MY 86!!!!

Waiting time is not bad as it used to be ordered mine in early January this year and it was suppose to come next month but got given an unallocated car so I get to pick it up on Monday or Tuesday next week, But yeah the Eastern States are much quicker if you're keen.

What? You ordered in Jan and was told only 4 months wait? That's like half of what I was told when I ordered mine.

I wouldn't mind ordering from eastern states but the freight is too pricey. Last time I had my car delivered to me from Qld it cost like $1500 and arrived covered in red dust plus a broken front lip (had lowered springs but still.....) which then started a 3 week saga to get compensation. They tried every trick and excuse imaginable to not pay a compo. In the end the compo money received was just not worth the time and effort spent on seeking it. I just wouldn't trust a brand new car to any freight companies no matter how big they are....too risky.
