You probably wont hear it too much. My old TVS swapped Mustang was pretty quiet It made for a killer sleeper though.

Ya, like Drew mentioned, you might get disappointed. The one that I took a ride in was pretty quiet. Maybe heard a slight bit of whine when the driver was giving it the beans, but pretty civil the rest of the time. Unfortunate for you, but a selling point for me

You can't get that sound unless you get a roots type or Whipple supercharger. Only the sprintex kit utilizes the Whipple headunit (don't quote me on that lol). Edelbrock, Harrop, and Cosworth all use TVS type head unit which are efficient and quiet.

How American of me, I want the loud, inefficient one! The noise is just glorious.

As others have mentioned, you can barely hear the supercharger at anything below 4/5K RPM. It's definitely a quite unit which I can appreciate, but it is nice when you start to hear some of the whine (as muted as it may be) when you really get on the throttle.

I know what you mean, but that's what I have my 1967 Mustang for. Loud and inefficient at it's (arguably) best.

Get a sprintex 210 or 335 kit if you want cool supercharger noise.

My wife whines "stop driving crazy!" every time i go above 5000 rpm, so i can do without any additional whine.

I keep explaining that it 'only sounds like we're fast' cuz the poor wittle engine is working so hard and tryin' it's bestest.

My wife always said that every time I'd downshift to pass cars on 1 lane highways.

Roots and twin screw will give the cool noise. See my build thread for proof. I just learned recently that the difference between roots and twin screw is that roots blows the air to the outside then into the engine and a twin screw blows the air through the center and down (opposite direction of roots). Metal intake helps the twin screw whine as well. The whine is the only reason I'm considering keeping the Sprintex vs selling it and getting the Edlebrock, silly reason I know. Plus I'd have to uninstall, install new one, retune, blah blah blah, which is time and money.

The main difference is roots blowers move air but don't compress it while doing so, twin screw superchargers compress the air as it moves through the blower. Just so everyone's clear, the TVS blowers are roots type - they don't compress air as they turn, they work like the 'old school' blowers you see sticking through the hoods of old hot rods.... except the rotor design/shape/coatings are highly optimized which makes it very efficient. I bet that optimization leads to less sound as well - in the end, sound production is an artifact of inefficiency somewhere in the system.

What is the hose path for your catch can with the Edelbrock unit?

That is Correct. Our tolerances are extremely tight in order to make our blowers as efficient as possible. Here is a close up from our EnForcer blower for an LS1 application.
