Not a lot of vocal/active current owners?
I havent really looked into aftermarket exhausts as I just got into getting an FRS. What carb legal exhaust systems is there? If it's carb legal it works with this turbo then correct?

The only thing needed to stay CARB legal (exhaust-wise) is to keep all stock CATs in place, so any cat-back exhaust should work. That said, replacing the mid-pipe and headers wont be legal.

Any combination of a cat-back exhaust and this kit would keep you CARB legal.

CARB kits work by keeping the cats in place (header and front pipe). If you go catback exhaust (midpipe back) you will still be "CARB" compliant.

As far as I know there aren't any CARB legal exhausts for these cars meaning one that replaces the cat in the front pipe.

ah ok, to be honest I'm a car noob and just got interested in learning about how parts of a car work. Especially since I'm going to want to turbo later and I heard that the exhaust has to be special if planning on turbo-ing.

I'm glad this turbo kit is CARB legal, because I live in Cali, and I'd hate to be pulled over in a non-legal kit and have to pay an absurd amount of money for having it removed. Point is, if I get this kit and buy a catback exhaust system and get pulled over because an officer thinks I have illegal modifications then I'm good right? Also I'm wondering about smog checks..

Sorry for going a bit off-topic as this seems like I should make my own topic but I'm new to the forums and this kit is very interesting to me so I'd like to know I'm doing it right if I'm going to do it in the future.

If it retains both cats, uses the provided CARB ECU tune, and has been CARB certified (with accompanying CARB certification sticker you should stick somewhere in your engine bay), it'll definitely pass smog.

The kit is only CARB legal if you run the CARB tune.

A catback would be legal, as long as it's not too loud.

With the stage 2 CARB - is there a ballpark on how fast the car is in a straight line compared to other cars that are stock? evo, mustang gt, M3, 370z, STI, etc? to put it in perspective?

Thanks hope this isn't too stupid of a question.
