Highly doubt that. Stealership mechanics are not to be trusted no matter what brand car it is..imo.

I worked at a scoob dealer for almost 5 years. I trusted the mechanics more than anyone else that worked there!

But then again we had 3 master techs and everyone else had insane amounts of experience and also owned scoobs too. I learned a hell of a lot from those guys...

HOLLY CRAP PEOPLE!

Some of you whiners should jump off a cliff for real!!!!!

I know the JDM version looked good but i guess most of you would have bitch about the price that car cost in that trim level.

I can tell most of you know nothing about SCION....
CHEAP CHEAPER CHEAPEST:

NO FOGS - does not come with the car but you can get it and let them install it for you at the dealership

CHEAP HU - it might look cheap but that HU is perfect and it does have BT and it works good in my brother's tC
NAV system is available the same way with any other scion... IF you want to pay for it.

LED DRL: really??????????? you guys crying for that tacky ass ricey leds? keep them on AUDIs pls... or just wait for the ricey ebay anzo headlights

HVAC: why on earth you need a dual zone AC in that small car????
yes it did look better, but this one works just as good and it is cheaper.

Mufflers ............... *facepalm................. you can get a TRD exhaust right there when you buy the car..... along with cold air intake, springs, struts etc.....
it will be all available the same way how they had it with all the other scion cars.

Heated seat - really???????? just get a lexus and st*u

Some of you really pissing me off with this ignorance.
crying about the price then crying about the car because it looks cheaper.

THANK THE MANUFACTURER they kept the fender boxer/86 logo. That Scion badge on the steering wheel will piss some people off for sure.

I'm back to thinking that price/options will be the determining factors.

I'm happy that they're cutting back on the amenities in favor of a lower MSRP, but I hope they're not cutting back in any performance or reliability aspect.

Love those taillights!
I hope they don't cheap on the suspension any more. The interior looks fine, not pretty but functional. If I wanted a decent interior, I would buy a luxury sport car like a BMW.

Other then the already mentioned faults im very ok with it, i love the dark interior and in another post somewhere i mentioned i would prefer less red on the interior, US guys and gals must be happy if its around 23-24k>
It's been mentioned on this forum but electronic throttles implement cruise control without the extra controller. They will likely be standard from now on. But I .

Besides, Scion will probably make all the features you guys are begging for available as options.
Call me impressed. People spotted the missing options right off the bat. Although they displayed the automatic version. But that wasn't unexpected, there are people in the US who believe manual gearboxes are obsolete.

Another point for the Scion, I guess. Hopefully all that fluff by that one Scion exec isn't completely untrue, like some people's promises. grrr.

For the premium fuel comments: if you don't want the better performance and MPG use regular.

No need to turn this into a turbo argument though!

I hope Scion offers some of the amenities as factory options!
true dat. i was also putting down 400 on my silvia. more than one way to skin a cat i suppose. but jeezus, 12.5:1? i doubt you had that CR on your Si.

im happy if it has enough power to hang the tail out at will. heck, i did okay with my 120hp ae86! hahaha

not really all that bothered by the changes since really everything they changed are things people replace with aftermarket stuff, really i think they did it to lower the price to compete with subie that way. leave the mechanical stuff alone and i'm good.

i hope the fact that there are no fogs means i can pop out the black plastic and have some functional brake ducts. cant wait to drive one!

Neither of us will go to the dealer, but some will.. for those I think I'd pick a Subaru dealer for this car :P
