Oh I agree. I just put that as joke. I rather do SR swap instead of VG swap.

Mmmm, not going for very big power or revs, so i don't really see it as necessary. We got the motor out of an S15 Silvia.

Tell me more though, he might be interested.

Basically a full Tomei head, 270/270 tomei cams, tomei dual valve springes, tomei titanium retainers, tomei rocker arm stoppers & rockerarms the only thing that's not tomei is the valves and they are +1mm Brian crower, all it needs is shims and valve guides and lifters

Well it looks like from the looks of the other thread about the jap mag 54k, that they might be using an ej20 bottom end, what about swapping in an ej25 block? With a stroke to bring it to as close to 3.0 as possible.... Comments,b$tches, concerns, gripes????

So you're saying swapping the 2 Liter block to 2.5 Liter block and bore it out much as you can w 2.5 liter? IDK, I know a lot of 2 Liter STI owners prefer 2.2 upgrade more than 2.5. They say that 2.5 don't have the great response as 2... so they take the middle and go w 2.2. Have great response as 2 Liter and have nice low end tq as 2.5.

Hm... you'll get more tq, but not sure on the response. Also, we're not even sure we can put 2.5 either on the Toyota or Subaru. Maybe if we do full Stand-Alone, it's possible, I guess.

The first thing I'm going to do when I get my FT-86 is put my Holset boosted 3SGTE in it. I don't really care what its going to take to do it. I absolutely hate Subaru flat 4's. I think they are one of the most unreliable motors to deal with when modding.

We're building a V8 Turbo Corolla right now, I don't think the FT-86 should be too hard to do, the hardest part is going to be the wiring, but even then I have a full AEM EMS to run the car off of. - http://www.worksterautoworks.com/Wor...r_Journal.html

Question, why even take the engine out of the original car?
